I have the large tub of the Palmetto Jalapeno pimento cheese in my fridge and JD hot sausage in my freezer. I don't keep bisquick on hand.

Perfect timing for these appetizers. I just put a few pounds of deer sausage in the fridge to thaw out to make sausage balls. Definitely trying the sausage ball recipe with deer sausage instead of pork sausage. I will be making your other recipes too. Thank you for sharing.
Try your sausage balls on the smoker, oh my goodness! I also add some Honey Hog rub in the mix. So delicious!

We have Palmetto in Missouri! It's my favorite. I'm from Kentucky, and they have it there too, so it's almost like a taste of home. I can't wait to make these, I usually just use medium sharp cheddar. This is amplified!!

For the candy, could I use all dark or semi-sweet chocolate instead of the white? I have those on hand.

What’s the purpose of the almond bark if you are then adding white chocolate morsels too??
Almond bark is different than white chocolate. It tastes different. And it also hardens and sets up better than white chocolate.
Can you use some liquid smoke to the wet mixture?

I’m not sure, honestly. You can’t really “taste” it if you’re worried about it.
A couple tips to take your party/Chex mix to another level… we always add a few dashes of tobasco. It doesn’t make it spicy but gives it a little something extra. The real secret to ours is adding bacon grease along with the butter. Might sound crazy to some but we are true southern cooks and I’m telling you it’s out of this world good.
