  • Italy, a footballing powerhouse, collapsed and broke to pieces after failing to qualify for the World Cup in 2018. Amid that chaos, the opportunity to reinvent themselves appeared, and the Italians have done so under coach Roberto Mancini. Today, we take a look at Italy’s transformation and ask, what the heaven happened to the Italian national team?

Yes, if switzerland beat France. France will surely lose because their fans act like they can win anything.they have an example 2018 WC.😅 they don't believe in miracle. They think football is unpredictable . My prediction is France will lose against Switzerland in death match and Belgium will lose against azzuris because you know pizza will always beat waffles and semi finals will be spain and Italy . Italy will win in death match in 4-2 or 4-3 I think morato or koke will miss penalty . Just a prediction don't hate me for saying this😁🇮🇹💪and I think england will be in final.and .italy will win euro 2020 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹💖 IT'S COMING ROME. I AM PROUD OF MY NATION💖💖💖

@@yuanruichen2564 Could be, but Italian surnames can be tricky. In fact it's more likely a peasant or slave name. "Di" in Italian can mean "belonging to" or also "from". Many noble names indicate the origin of the family. For example, a famous noble surname is Sanfelice di Monteforte. In this case "Sanfelice" is the actual surname and "di Monteforte" means from Monteforte, a small town near Naples. Di Lorenzo could be noble, but more likely indicates that his ancestors used to belong to a guy named Lorenzo. These surnames are really common in central Italy, especially around Rome, where many people are called Di Francesco or De Francisci, because their ancestor's subordination to someone.
To add more complexity to the matter, I should mention also that Italian Jews often have a name of a town as their surname. So if a guy's surname is simply "Monteforte", instead of "... Di Monteforte" he is likely to be of Jewish ancestry (hence not a noble).

Are you kidding me? National teams like Italy, Germany or Brazil are always there. They have soccer in their DNA. It can happen a few years of bad performances but teams like Belgium, like Colombia, Ukraine, etc. have no tradition. When the hard times come they melt like butter. It's the weight of history that makes the difference. Then there are courses but, in the end, it always comes down to the same ones. 🇮🇹

2 reasons why Italy was so horrible 4 years ago:
    1. They had a very old school manager who didn't believe in the youth and had outdated tactics, his only accomplishment was winning a Serie *C* title, yes I wrote Serie C.
    2. Italy were still clinging on to some players who were in their mid 30s and past their prime.
