As with most woodworking videos, you can do the cutting operation many different ways. Never feel restricted to what any presenter shows for the tools they choose. I like to show a variety of tools to show the options you could use to accomplish your goal. But by no means do you need all of those tools. Honestly most things can be done with a cheep table saw you get off Facebook. Heck I stated with a simple circular saw and made awesome things. We even have a video or two showing that. (Get the table saw just sayin') LOL But if you have the extra tools or access to them it does make it easier.
We are a production shop, not just a CZcams channel so you will sometimes see a larger than what you have tool selection because it is a biasness for us. But in the end, it's an ease thing, not a must have thing. I hope that helps. :)

How much would you sell these?

Considering the expenses involved in materials, labor, and markup, a walnut board typically costs between $60 to $80 USD. However, it's worth noting that most boards are 4/4, so you'll need to rip them down to 1/4 for the sides, and then to 1/8 for the top and bottoms. To streamline the process and potentially reduce labor costs, it might be beneficial to batch produce them. Ripping one board to create multiple pieces is more efficient than doing it individually each time. By adopting this approach, the cost could be lowered to around $40 to $50 due to reduced labor. While I don't personally sell these, I believe this pricing reflects their value as lasting keepsakes that gain character over time. Hopefully, this insight is helpful to you.😀
