Nice work! the end product looks great, and you make it look easy. I'm looking at making this as a housewarming present for a friend. I like your wood burning method for the initial, I'll probably copy you on that as well!
+danielbstone87 great thanks Daniel! Good luck!
Love the "Bed of Nails" finishing board. Great idea, but could that be why your shop has been accident-free for 0.75 days....?
Haha I originally built that finishing board to help with a specific project I was batching out. Now it comes in handy frequently when finishing projects but I'm glad to say no injuries due to that board YET!
cool project dude. nice video too
Thanks Phil! Seems like you have some cool videos-I'm def going to check those out
Love them! What kind/color of stain did you use?
+Marissa Dulay Thanks Marissa!! I used Minwax Early American on these. Thanks for watching!
Mike Im making a box right now and I was wondering what the height of the sides are. BTW nice box something like what I am making.
+Burt G thanks Burt! The sides are 4.5" high. It fits a wine bottle pretty well. Good luck!
Sin puntilla, el pegante es suficiente.
Nice work. Do you do this as your full time job?
No I do it as a hobby when I have free time-would love to be able to do it full time!
Nice job young man would you mind sending me or posting the dimensions of the box thanks. Burt
Hi Burt thanks for watching! The overall dimensions of the box are 14.5"x4.5"x4.5". I milled everything down to 1/2" thick. The sides are 14.5"x4.5". The top and bottom are 3.5"x4.5". The lid and base are both sized to fit the opening-it should be about 13.5"x3.5". I hope this helped!
What do you use for your stencils for your lettering
+How To I usually just print out a letter using either an image of the letter from google or a word processing program to get a font I like
Pretty ballsy wearing a white shirt staining . Good job.
I'm out....my brad nails always fire through the face of the wood...lol....
