Hi my name is Lilly and I am an American expat living on the island of Koh Samui in the gulf of Thailand for the last 8 1/2 years. My husband is Thai and his name is Wat. We have 2 half Thai, half American boys named Luke and Leon. Nam is our Nanny and she is like family to us. She is from Myanmar and has worked for us for over 6 years.
Wat and I have owned several businesses together in Maenam Village in Koh Samui. Right now our restaurant Lilikoi Bistro is closed but we will let you know when we reopen.

jay fay has been a legend in thai food for decades now.. pricey by thai standards, it is still affordable as a splurge. it is a hoot to watch this 75 year old, the sole cook, in her goggles work the fire 6 days a week. as an emerging geezer, gives me hope that there is greatness and purpose in the geriatric set. I think the noodles dish is called “pad khee mao” slightly different from “pad see ew” since it’s has basil and spicy taste…I’m hungry now 😋

Had to wait for 30minutes at Jay Fai last year when I was in Bangkok. But it’s all worth the wait! The food is truly traditional world class cuisine. Gotta love Jay Fai!

I stayed at Maenam and when I saw your nanny I reconised her that actually I have been to your cloth shop with my baby boy 6 months old that time and your nanny ( Nam) took care my baby while I was trying the clothes. I remember your Husband Pi Wat too. By the way, I enjoy seeing your vlog.

We went there before covid, we didn't made a reservation but we signed in at 10 in te morning.The restaurant opens i think at 12 we waited voor 3 hours and number 10 had his table we had number 35.It was funny to see the circus. We left and had went to the neighbours where a very nice woman made us a very nice meal with the most important thing, with love and a big smile.
