It’s even funnier when you notice that the NPC was the one who killed the Fire Lord, so they didn’t even get to fight the main bad guy😂
Yeah, he totally devastated the big fire lord with ease on top :D
Apparently not.
Where was the epic final battle? The fight against hordes of fire-demons? The loss of friends, the sacrifices and the near defeat directly before the unexpected victory?
I am with Adam on this. I want my WAR!

Spoilers to Divinity Original Sin 2:
People who played Divinity Original sin 2 knows how that feels, Lucian just murdering Braccus Rex by himself while you can just focus on survival depending on which ending you're trying to get.
As soon as he started hyping up the scale of the battle, I knew it was going to be a tiny instanced fight. Every time haha
That, or Quicktiming your way through it.
haha I like it cuz it make me haha
That's because you were busy pressing skip and missed the dialogue where it asks if the armies of darkness stand and defend after defeating the dark lord or turn and run... The default option was to turn and run which skips to the ending scene... Sorry, but you will have to play through skycraft again in it's entirety if you wish to replay the battle as you saved data was deleted upon completion...
Thank you and have a nice day... 😁
If you played Lord of the Rings in PS2 now that was an epic final fight. Literally killed hundreds of orcs and some trolls. It was amazing. I think even some wight Lords.
Shhhh
The ''Can't believe I paid $70 dollars for this game'' hit home hard.
The monthly subscription fee makes it so much worse.
@@FShani That’s adding insult to injury 😢
What's worse, the $70 game that ended up a huge disappointment, or the $70 game that sits in your steam library never played more than an hour or so?
@@musicalcharge There is no difference in the games. That's on you for being a compulsive spender. Though to be fair usually that happens when you bought it at a discount on steam sale or humble bundle.
But you don’t realize, they NEED that extra $10 to make games that are _more polished_ with _new features_ and that requires _more developers_ and _more overhead_
/sarcasm/
This is definitely one of those cases where the game dev needed a year minimum to make this battle fully playable, but were only given 1 week before the release date.
sadly patience is a foreign concept most fff publishers >.>
Glad to see Rowans still making excuses to back out of any awkward conversation
Oh? What's that? Oh the...thing...yeah yeah I just...the...yeah...
Rowan you cant run away. You are the Commander!
All the way from Gherdawn, too! Impressive voice the king has :D
If Rowan didn't do then that means we're in some bizarro world!
It's that managerial experience.
Although Adam didn't actually break it, that's probably the most literal fourth wall I've even seen.
Pushed on the 4th wall :P
Loved this effect, well done!
I know this is going to sound pedantic and unnecessary, but that is definitely not the fourth wall. The fourth wall is your screen, it’s the one that separates the audience from the story.
@@loganroman5306 well said.
@@loganroman5306 third wall, maybe? 🙄🤣
Adam screeching in anguish and Britt trying to comfort him near the end was the absolute cherry on top 😂
Bro, can you recommend me games RPG where there are different classes but are OFFLINE and for single player. Like mage, swordsman type. Typically like witcher 3 and DS but more Magical
@@hamzaahmad1345 yo, heard of Dragon's dogma ?

@@hamzaahmad1345 well, there is Skyrim, from a few years back, but a great game, If you are open to non classical RPGs (by non classical I mean not swords and magic ones) then I can advice the Mass Effect saga. An absolute marvel, part 1 and 2 are a bit old though, so if you care about graphics maybe start from the 3rd part. Its an rpg too, but with weapons, skills and tech. But it might not be your thing if you only care for magic, swords and such.
Whoever did Rowans make-up and costume needs an oscar. That look was fantastic. And the camera works to catch that look: 👌
Rowan looks amazing. The beard is great too
A Streamy.
True, was gonna say that.
Where is ben? I am getting worried
Well what did you expect? He's a model
I love Rowan just walks away from any problem in every single universe 🤣
It is the same universe though, every video from vldl is "yes, and" comedy. So Rowan just now has a job as a GM!
"Fade away~"
'We didn't do sh!t" 🤣 Britt's comic timing and delivery is spot on!
Well, she was saying what we were thinking. 🙂
Best line in the video
That's sounding a bit ableist.
Gotta give credit to whoever edited that bit too.
@edmg7 yes, that particular bit was edited, very true 👍 Throughout the sketch, Britt's reactions show she is really immersed and giving great improv. That particular 'sh!t' line cracked me up, especially the way she says it.
Britt's "we didn't do shit" was the best thing in this skit x)
From “Heck yeah!” to “That’s bullshit!” Pretty much sums up all of my “epic” video games experiences lately. 😂
The most authentic part is what he mentioned Army of Fire and they were surprised. Even though they have fought them 5 times already because they kept skipping dialog to get to the end boss they never knew their names.
not to mention the expansion is called eternal fire
Adam assaulting the green screen got me 😂
Really appreciate the whole editing, costume and set. Calling this a skit would be an insult.
Was laughing my ass off when I noticed it was fading to black. 😆
Yeah :D
Considering there's grass in the foreground, it was more likely a blue screen though ;)
The green screen interaction was SO GOOOOOD 🤩🤩🤩🤩
I quite like to see the behind the scenes for this shot
Same! Omg! 🤣😂 paid $70 for this game I want my war Britt! 😂 Adam’s screams got me rolling! 🤣
What they don't show is that the actual "war" with the evil fire lord happens exclusively in the raid attached to that mission. To actually fight him you have to participate in the raid, which means you either have to wait 8 hours for the raid queue to pop, or wait till you have enough guild members online that actually want to do that particular raid.
The whole cast and channel has developed and aged really well over the past 6 years. Amazing work everyone! :)
Yes it is awesome to see the steady increase in both the acting and the production quality :)
Production quality has increased for sure but they more or less ran out of ideas. I mean, sure, they still have some, but there are no actual jokes or surprises any more. You more or less know exactly what the episode will be like just from reading the title. I always feel like there is a twist missing or an actual punchline.
It seems that even as a video game NPC, Rowan is a master at getting out of a difficult situation.
That was actually Rowan, he now has a 2nd gig as a GM.
when you find a tactic that works, you stick with it
"sssshade awaaaaayyy..." 😆
Dragon Age 2
This skit reminds me of Assassin's Creed 3. In the trailers our character was darting around the battlefield. Spinning and weaving through the army and finally pounces on the enemy general. The climactic battle in-game was VERY DIFFERENT. You just move to the left, right, and center armies and press X to order them to shoot. One of the most disappointing gaming moments of my life.
I love how Adam hits the "4th wall"... being the green screen. It is awesome.
wouldn't that be the 2nd wall?
Probably the screen is not green because of the location they were filming, with grass and etc.
@@DougFantasy It is still called a green screen though, even if it is a different color.
@@Bronzescorpion oh, okay
@@Bronzescorpion lol no. A blue screen is called a blue screen.

it's like they had a script or something like that D:
I love Britt so much lol

It's the very fast and unceremonious cutaway that does it for me. So good. XD
I pulled this on a school assignment when I was a kid. Had to write a story but got a bit lazy toward the end, so I had one of the characters declare what they needed to do, then capped it with "and so they did. The End."
Teacher was not having it either.
Viking sagas did this.
'He said "I will be first from the longboat, I will draw my sword as I climb the beach, kill ten of their men, and burn their hall to the ground."
So that's what he did.'
Like the Hobbit, where Bilbo is unconscious for the big battle
He didn't appreciate your commercially efficient writing skills. You could totally have made it as a screenwriter for games and netflix series. Things that don't need captivating ends but only captivating starts to make money.
@@ianhopping105 Because the hero did this 100 times on repeat
Well, your narrative skills have improved since then: your denouement made me chuckle heartily.
Literally game of Thrones when Tyrion Lannister got knocked out when the battle started
My absolute favorite part of this episode isn't just the anticipation and excitement that Britt and Adam share but the fact that they exchanged so many looks at one another. Those are such awesome best friend vibes 🤩
Its like when you have a cutscene of heaps of people cheering, but the game can only handle like 5 npcs at once, so its literally just like 3 people clapping and not at all enough people to fit with how loud the cheers are.
Advanced level: you have those 5 npcs copied 5 times each and so have 25 people which are all quintuplets. Dragon Age 2 comes to mind.
@@dermade83 also rehashing dungeons just by changing the direction

It's so crazy how an independent studio with just 1% of the budget that big studios have, create such entertaining media. Thank you for always brightening up my days, you guys are sincerely the best. I really hope one day you have everything you deserve.
Small companies, businesses or just friends are more flexible.
Large companies are well very large. So its far harder to manage everything. Sad issue is many large companies end up becoming a corporate structure leading A to losing trust and betrayal to their own identity or B bankruptcy
Not as many cooks in the kitchen.
1% is kind of a reach. Some big studios have hundreds of millions to spend
Imagine the odds of running into people who could help you build like these guys.

Rowan as an NPC in a CZcams comedy skit looks 10x better than anything out of rings out of power lmao

And Rowan did finally cut the hanging thread off after the battle.

Rowan: awesome speech, awesome armor, and some badass moves in the fight. Britt: " we did not do shit", awesome moves in the fight. Adam: the pushing the greenscreen was simple gold. And Adam and Britt looked the part of the enthused gamers about to go down in the hitory of the game world as heroes. It was one of the best productions I have seen so far. Rowan looks friggin' amazing - so aggresively a Stormwind soldier.
Literally how I felt in Skyrim. The entire story kept hyping up Alduin as a world eating beast that would bring the end, and so you retrieve an elder scroll, learn a new shout, go to the TES version of Valhalla, team up with previous Dragonborns and than it's just a standard dragon fight
If you think Skyrim was bad, Oblivion was worse. I suggest getting an Alduin mod. Makes a huge difference.
I have played skyrim a lot, but never finished the main story line, but this honestly reminds me of ME3, you get all of these alien races to fight by your side to have a final showdown with 1 marauder.
This was the imperial/stormcloak quest line for me lol

Sure this will get buried but My wife has been in Labor since yesterday with our first son. I started the Epic NPC Man playlist and I just finished it. I have loved these videos but never really watched them in order but I needed a distraction while my wife was sleeping or didn't need me so I started. Too true. Either this fade out, a cutscene, or a narration of the course of the war, but you never get to participate in it.
Man that little speech that Rowan gave actually gave me chills and got me super pumped lol
This happened to me in Wing Commander 3. The entire time, the most you see is one, maybe two capital ships go at it. Finally, towards the end of the game, the fleet get's together to go into the Kilrah system. You literally have Captain Eisen say, "We're going to be escorting the big boys!" as he looks down at a readout with at least 50 ships on it.
I'm like, "FINALLY! We get the big Endor-style battle!"
Nope, the entire mission is escorting the cruiser and destroyer to the jump point that have been with your small task for the entire time. You never see the fleet, never participate in the battle, nothing. I was like, "WTF!?!?!?"
Play yourself some Freespace 2 mate. Wall to wall capital ships in that game. Lovely intense battles there.
The real battle is reality versus our expectations : (
@@danielharvison7510 Oh god, yes! The good old Freespace 2 fleet battles were absolutely dope, breaking through groups upon groups of fighters with your bomber, shields half down, hull damage exceeding 30%, energy low, and yet you're faced with the next obstacle, heavy space flak fire from the capital ship you're supposed to destroy. Pushing through inch by inch while keeping a close watch at your forward shields while at the same time trying to keep the capital in target for your torpedoes to lock on while also keeping out an eye behind you for fighter squads turning around to chase your tail. And then the big moment, despite all odds and your ship barely holding together the lock on procedure is finally complete, the satisfying beeping noise ringing in your ears telling you that it's time to blow shit up. And then you hit the button to send the babies flying towards their destiation, about 30 seconds later and loosing half of the torpedoes to point defense fire you finally see the rest of them smashing into the side of the capital, followed by a massive explosion and shockwave, you squeeze the last little bit of energy your generator can dump out to reinforce your barely funcioning shields for the oncoming shockwave. But it wasn't the fourth wall, but an actual fake wall within the story. They didn't contact the audience, the complaints remained within the story.
@@KeljuIvan yeah, i know, but it was kind of a wink to the audience as well, since it showed they were working with a greenscreen, which took away the suspension of disbelief
This is an Amazing Video you guys! One of my Favorites now ! the Music and Speech was so good too lol
Britt and Adam are just amazing at this.
Rowan, like Rowan Atkinson, has a specific character written all over himself and that's why he is so great as the butch yet evasive character.
I love your videos and hope to continue seeing more quality content like this in the future.
I honestly expected to see a quick-time event
Shadow of Mordor did that lol
That would have been hilarious and frustrating at the same time. I hate quick time events. But it would have been hilarious to see Brit and Adam react to it.
@@George-um2vc Dying Light too.
Has VLDL did a sketch on QTE yet?
@@araisikewai there was one a long time ago, something with the king of thieves iirc
Edit: it was with the spymaster. Just look for "vldl qte"
General Rowan going full PlayTech manager at the end was preciois!
"Oh, the uh... King's calling me... I just need to... Uhhh.... Yeah..."
This is both equally painful and hilarious lol
The speech Rowan made before the big battle, Got me so hyped
The channel is the best example of reinvesting in the channel ive ever seen. The constant improvement in every category is so cool to watch.
"I want my war, Brit!" is the single best line I heard Adam scream in a long time :D Well, the other lines were excellent as well, but this one made my day - thank you, fine sir!
I was waiting for "whence" to be implemented into speech.
I just love the costumes so much in these videos.
I didn't expect Adam to hit the greenscreen. That needs to be in more comedy movies. Like when they break the forthwall.
I would love another Robin Hood: Men in Tights style movie. Anything for the sake of a joke, and it works brilliantly when done well~
The special effects, the costumes, the blood details after a strike with a little flame burst... *chef kiss*. You guys and gals are awesome, I appreciate your hard work! Love it.
