In my country it is first interview then exam and the good news is that I qualified the interview , your videos are really helpful. But the bad news is don't know Japanese .( Japanese exam is compulsory for undergrad in my country India even though I did specify the interviewer that I don't know Japanese ) .
Update : I got recommend by Consulate General of Japan in Mumbai . Now the long wait starts for embassy and mext decision.

I'm preparing for the interview, but what I find odd is how the embassy in my country asks for documents after the exam (before the exam, they only ask for very basic details like name, DOB, just what's needed to make the exam entry) and they ask for a lot of original documents which I'm not comfortable giving them, cuz the guidelines say submitted documents will not returned. What can I do regarding this? And what's your opinion on this?
P.s. my friend gave her original documents to the embassy last year as she made it to the final screening, but the documents were never returned to her, even if she wasn't awarded the scholarship.
