@@Whatttupv My thought was start with the day free and if I need more, I can go into a plain graph notebook and refer back to the monthlies or get a second one. It's not too different than an avec but just without the dailies.

For me it did not work that it didn’t have daily pages dated. Because I kind of got tired of dating them myself and I like consistency on dates. Also for some reason the paper and the cover was just different than Hobonichi for me. So I choose Hobonichi again this year instead.

❤️ I think that once you figure out what works for you and what you really need, it’s easier to learn to enjoy other people’s content and just know that their lives are in different spaces that ours and that’s okay!

Its hard sometimes to put wants and needs apart but I think is really important otherwise we end up with tons of stuff!

I got influenced soooo much this year. But sometimes we need to take a step back and look at what we like and what works for us and then see what other people use. Once you know yourself is easier to not get influenced as much and just enjoy other peoples journeys and content :)

I definitely took time to narrow down the companies I buy from quite a bit. I have specific places I go to for specific themes and styles. The other thing I've started doing is that I've found some amazing sticker makers with Patreons and they offer *so much* for your subscription and since I can print and cut my own, it cuts down on a lot of the impulse purchasing because I can just make something that works. I know not everyone can print and cut but it's definitely still a good avenue to look into if you can.

@@AxisOAnarchy I definitely want to purchase a printer and also cutter to cut my own stickers from home (and make my own).

@@Whatttupv I originally got mine and used it for vinyl and it's been incredibly useful for other things on that. I think I'm on 3 different sticker/journal kit makers' Patreons and only one of them doesn't keep kits up from past months but the quality of artwork is so good for me that I still don't mind.

I am not sure how to get there as I went by car and my friend drove but we just searched Kyoto Travelers factory and it directed us there. They had the blue design cover and the Ace Hotel when I went. :)

I usually use TWSBIs and Metros; I lOVE the fine and extra fine nibs on Pilots, but I HATE that they don’t hold a lot of ink, like a TWSBI. So, I just ordered an Optus 88 Jazz, eye dropper pen in blue…The BLUEST blue I pen that I’ve ever seen (well in the online pictures anyway). Blue is my my favorite color, and my favorite ink is blue Noodler’s X-Feather ( nice and dark, almost purple), so they should go well together, plus as I said it’s an eye dropper filler so like TWSBY, it will hold a lot of ink. I hate having to constantly change ink. Anyway, while I had the guy on the line at Goulet Pens, I mentioned that I couldn’t resemble my TWSBI Eco, and he said: “Really? Man, I can put one of those together in my sleep.” lol. So, it’s probably my own fault related to utter ineptness with object assembly. I’m really dumb when it comes to that sort of thing…That’s why I buy pens and write things; it’s the ONLY thing I’m good at. Despite what this guy said about disasssebling and reassembling Ecos in his sleep, I’ve heard more than a few people say the couldn’t get their TWSBI to post as securely after they completely disassembled them and then tried to reassemble it, so maybe I’m not so clueless after all. Aren’t you the one one who said you liked solid color TWSBYS? Man you need to try a translucent colored capped TWSBI Eco. I have TWO in transparent blue, the one I can’t reassemble lol, and another one just like it, that I bought to replace the one I mutilated. I bought another clear blue Ecojust like the one that’s laying in pieces in my drawer, because It’s translucent blue, and I’ve got to have a cool blue pen If I can afford it, provided it isn’t junk which TWSBIs aren’t. I also have the translucent purple, and I have the translucent yellow Ecos. They translucent colored Ecos all look REALLY cool, even the yellow; I really like that one. The clear yellow looks stunning with red ox blood. The see through colored caps just make too much sense on an Eco since the pen it-self is clear ( it’s a symmetry thing). The colored translucent caps, with a colored ink added to the glasslike body, especially with an ink that allows the light to penetrate it, and thus makes it radiate in the light; well that, with the combination of the the posted translucent colored caps makes it like writing with a piece stained glass ( well maybe not so intense but I like that description, and it does hold merit; really that’s kind of what it seems like to me…It’s quite kaleidoscopic IMO. Of course that’s just an FYI and my own opinion. To each their own. And back to the real subject of my ramblings….There are videos on YT that show you how to disassemble and reassemble an Eco, so maybe you won’t screw things up the way I did. Also if you need replacement parts for your TWSBI. I’ve delt with them via e-mail, because I needed to order a new barrel, and they were quick to respond. They sold me a new nib and feed, AND body because I "warped” that blue ECO when I took apart and washed it out, I tried drying it afterwards with space heater ( I had no idea how damned hot the thing got and with in five minutes, the barrel was slightly warped lol…Only me! The new barrel, feed, and new <EF> nib cost about 12.00 shipping included, in the USA…Not too bad.
