BMW RT & Yamaha Tenere - trip to south-west Scotland

- Heading for a weekend of camping solo on my BMW R1200RT with my mate Gordon coming for a day trip on his 2024 Yamaha Tenere.
A couple of blokes trying to deal with our grief, in a very blokey way - on motorbikes!!

Thanks for reaching out guys. My better half recently passed from a very aggressive form of cancer, the funeral is today. I have already found that a wee spin on the bike helps me focus my mind. 💝💝💝

So sorry for your loss guys, I lost my wife best friend in January after caring for her at home for 2-1/2 yrs, during her illness I needed an outlet for my mental health. Took lessons worked towards a full bike licence, after she passed the bike has kept myself sane, the bike community are fantastic you can stop for a coffee break so many people just want to talk about every day life. I’ve was attracted to the channel understand the dark days, fantastic stuff got me talking take care love your content 😂

Like you I cared for Sarah for a long time, it's tragic, but at the same time was the privilege of my life to be able to be there for her when she was in need, I'm sure you'll feel the same. Lovely heartfelt video. I lost my wife Carol in 2014 there's not a day that goes by that she's not in my thoughts. No life will never be the same as before but Sarah would want you to carry on as you are doing and learn to live without her. Best wishes keep riding the healing road ❤
Thanks for the kind comment, and for the support. Sarah was ademant that I should carry on her list, and that's my focus in life, as well as the charity work I'm embarking on. I'm sure Carol was a wonderful person too, life is so cruel :)
@RidingThroughGrief I am a firm believer that nobody is truly passed away until the last person alive who can remember them is also passed, Carol is just in another room in the house or garden where I can't go, because I can still feel her around me. YES I'm sure Sarah would want you to continue doing the things you had planned do them for both of you now and always remember how lucky you both where to have each other. Take care.
I'm sorry for the loss that both you and your friend have suffered. Whilst it's hard to comprehend the level of pain and grief that you have to endure in every waking moment, these videos are hugely beneficial to others experiencing something similar.
