I rarely comment on videos in general but I really want to voice that to me personally this is probably the most helpful segment you ever did on this channel, not to diminish the other parts but to really appreciate these series
You know, this really reminds me of SirActionSlacks once saying that some CZcamsr would probably make a dota lore every hero and "start with abbadon and would probably end at anti-mage or something"
I think AA's shard deserves a mention. It helps push out lanes, mildly defend towers and prevents enemies from initiating and escaping with blinks. I always prioritize getting a shard after force or glimmer
Another reason AA scales is that his ult penetrates BKB-often supports fall off because carries get BKBs and then it becomes difficult to utilize your abilities effectively. Not AA!
I think it's also worth mentioning that you can kill Abaddon with high damage attacks, crits or spells that do more than 400 damage, and his ult will not trigger. Axe's Culling Blade will kill Abaddon even through his ultimate, as long as Abaddon is below the cull treshold.
the way you explain is awesome because it is equally as useful for someone looking to play these heroes better. knowing about the weak spots of each hero is fantastic info
These videos are awesome for a newbie such as myself! Characters like Huskar with his insane regen, and Riki with his movement speed and invisibility absolutely fuck me... Can't wait for THOSE episodes!
Great series and concept, one thing which I think would really round out the offering is to group together hero's once they've been done into similar contexts. Ie heros that are countered by the same things and heros - eg huskar, alch etc showing the heros (aa , Necro) items (vessel Shiva's) and playstyle to combat them conceptually. Means people can watch individual series on the hero alphabetically then later on can consume a dozen or more Heros on a single concept or view.
This is similar to Purge's videos from years and years ago, where he would do a Dotabuff segment before going into a replay review. Those were the best educational Dota videos to this day. This is great - thanks BSJ!
I main arc warden with a 70% win rate, I guarantee you he is easier to counter than what most people think. People are just intimidates by him in lower brackets and they don't focus him enough.
@@menacing5775 briefly explained, shut him down as early as possible and not let him have a game, as he needs a couple of items before coming online. Magic build arc warden struggle vs illusions and beefy strength heroes. Arc is easy to be killed once jumped on, treat him like if he was an enemy sniper, close the gap on him, before he gets hex at least.
yea abbadon is really good against enemies that has many dispelable stuns or dispelable damage over time, my team has pos 5 dazzle, pos 4 ogre, and pos 3 bounty hunter, and enemy abbadon (plus LC) dispelled all our poison touch, ignite, dan track, us 3 became useless, even abbadon's mist coil plus apothic shield saves a carry from a fireblast burst stun lock + jinada shuriken toss
You continue to bring amazing and valuable content to us and the dota 2 community... this series is gonna be GENIUS! Getting frustrated about having a certain hero in all of your games and having trouble dealing with it? Just look up the hero counter lexicon by BSJ :-) Huge thumbs up from here!

i personally learnt most on AA despite knowing the game since beta since i never touch the hero... if a single 2000 gold item can make an enemy hero useless i would buy it even on offlane

What if all of that was the opposite, i.e Abba Carry, Alch Support, and AA Carry or Mid. and their playstyle is different all of a sudden. I think it's cool to take a look at all the potential of the heroes and Work on the Counter match up from there either from heroes or items and Playstyle on how to counter them. Anyway, good content sir. This will be a great series for sure. ty
I hope for the next video who ever is doing the EDITS on the next one, they simplify the TEXT so it's like 2 or 3 words instead of like 5 to 8. It's doesn't even stay on the screen that long to read it all out loud. Please fix this for the next video.
Lotus orb is a good point against alch. I never realized it was great against him. What are the best naga itemizations against radiance alch and naga mid to late game playstyle against alch? Also, is/when is butterfly, radiance, or halberd on a carry good against alch? Also, how should luna play against alch? Those matchups are always tough for me. And those items seem decent in theory, but too slow to afford, aside from halberd. Or should I rarely think evasion is cool and instead focus on kiting out and dodging alch cooldowns more than manfighting when the fight looks almost even except I know the Alch is unlikely to be finished off and then the alch will probably just whoop us at the end of the fight

This is a great idea for a video series. The more abstract and conceptual you make it the better because any overly specific item or hero recommendations might not remain true in future patches. I like how you're doing it so far. When you recommend Shiva or Spirit Vessel mention why. Mention the regen reduction. That way the guide remains conceptually valid and can be applied to new items.

Illusion heroes like Naga or backline jumpers like storm there u go, Arc is basically unplayable vs Naga.

Great start. Hitting Aghs + Holy Locket on Aba means your team never dies in a fight. Getting there is the problem as you pointed out.

Luna is countered by Alchemist. They both flash farm very early and fast but Alchemist just does it better.
