    The 3rd gen Corvettes are strikingly sexy machines.

    Simple formula to choose the right classic, it's looks good and they didn't make many. Lovely Corvette, definitely the one to buy and keep.

    I have the exact car with the exception of the LS-6 of course. It's still all original. Brands hatch green and saddle interior with a 4 speed and air. 270 horse on Goodyear Eagles. Can't believe it'll be 50 in a couple of months. A lot of good times in that car.

    Great high performance Vette. She'll hold value forever. Investible guaranteed return. Worth it's weight in plutonium.
    I just love a nice Corvette. This would keep me satisfied, & busy om cleanup.

    Pete! I remember you were on an old show with the bigger guy on Speed. Once you hid in a locker and scare him lol. Still remember that. Sweet Vette! 🏁

    i turned down an offer to buy a LS6 vette back in the early 1980s for 13,000.00. These are probably worth 200k now

    Wasn't their only one LS6? The one that produces 450hp with 500tq. Correct me if I'm wrong.

    • @thud9797
      @thud9797 Před 3 lety

      They built only one LS7 Corvette in 1970 and only two magazines tested it. It was 460 or 465hp (Chevy used both ratings), anyway they killed it for 1970 and the 450hp Chevelle LS6 was top dog in 1970. First time ever that a non-Corvette carried Chevy's highest horsepower engine.

      @cali2468 Před 2 lety

      You're correct. This "LS6" shared the same cam with a L71/L72/L78, different heads, compression etc.. Not sure why they didn't call it something different. With that said, I still want one. 😊

    • @markmartin5765
      @markmartin5765 Před rokem

      Compression went done from probably 11 or 10 to 9 to one ,that alone could have made a difference in final HP. It still gave the Corvette one last Hell Mary! I have a 71 454 speed LS6 clone convertible ,and I love it!

  • @jackrabbit7389

    Seems they would have labeled engine somthin other than LS6 when it wasent exactly the same as original LS6 in terms of power compression and cyl heads.

      LS6 block, same cam and intake. Just a '71 spec LS6.

    I can buy a cheaper 1971 vette and drop in a 454 that I built that will blow the doors off this high dollar LS6. Not sure why folks think there worth so much money? Oh yea, because it was fast! That’s my point you can throw some cheap shit together that is faster! My ‘72 C10 454 will outrun all these LS6’s and I have low compression and a small cam and little oval port heads....it’s all in the tune....

  • @heavenstomurgatroyd7033

    Why are people asking you? You have no idea what this is......yikes...
