- When I think about it, Dream Team isn’t my least favorite Mario and Luigi game anymore, I do think it’s better than Bowser’s Inside Story. And yeah, in spite of how harsh I am on this game in this video, this game’s actually pretty decent, but it would have lived up to its predecessors if it didn’t have so much filler in it! Needless to say, it definitely has sins.
Also, my next Everything Wrong With video won't take as short a time to get out as this and my last one did, the only reason they were out that fast was because I was trying to race to get these two out before Charrii5 finishes his Dream Team video.

2:28 You have to keep in mind, though, that Luigi is the one on the Pi'illo here. One of his many traits, especially in the M&L games, is that he often gets overlooked by a lot of characters. The Toads, Bowser and his troops, Starlow, the Star Temple gate in PiT (albeit for a test), the list goes on. Clearly it's been getting to him over the years, so it would make sense that what's effectively his Magicant would reflect that color-wise. I mean, is it any wonder why his original Final Smash was Negative Zone?

@@meta527II There is an Easy Mode in Black and White 2. It's unlocked at the same time as Challenge Mode, but only in White 2, and Challenge Mode is only unlocked in Black 2.

Yeah, BW2 has an easy mode. Apparently it lowers opponents' levels and dumbs down their AI. You unlock it in White 2 by beating Iris, but you have to Unova Link the key over to Black 2 to unlock it there. People have complained about Megas, Z-Moves and Dynamax, but I still say that the Key System was a worse mechanic than any of them.
@@SuperGoker64 I agree with your thoughts on the key mechanic. It serves almost no purpose, version locks features and Pokemon that shouldn't be version locked, and getting those features is way more complicated than it should be.
@@An_Account1 Honestly, much like I do with Twilight Princess, I have some pretty strong mixed feelings about BW2 in general. I've ranted about it quite a bit on in the past year, especially on Joshscorcher's channel with regards to the videos Aramau featured in, but to sum it up: the Key System is stupid, the amount of new areas added on for a sequel game was lackluster compared to Gen 2 and XD Gale of Darkness, Pokestar Studios went from promising to disappointing with the tutorial movie, Join Avenue was completely useless to me even before the DS wifi got discontinued, Cheren got jipped, the Unova Link actively reminds me of how Cheren got jipped, and Marlon has levels of tacked-on that rival those of _Juan._ With that said, Roxie is my favorite Unova Gym Leader, having access to the Mareep and Riolu lines before the first Gym was pretty sweet, Colress is a welcome addition to the series-wide ensemble, the new songs added nicely on top of BW1's already stacked ost, and despite some missed potential in not bringing back the Elite 4 members, I like the Pokemon World Tournament.
I’m sorry, Meta, but you do not seem to understand how the Dream World works. Peach wasn’t trapped in Luigi’s MIND, she’s stuck in what can only be described as a parallel/pocket universe! Luigi may be seeing this stuff in his sleep, but the Dream Worlds are all interconnected. That’s why several Pi’llos nightmare chunks on Mount Pajamaja are all in the same Dream world despite the distance between their pillows. I can agree on Starlow being stupid in those moments, though.

I wanted to mention that the blimp falling and breaking down was part of Luigi's nightmare,since the tutorial fight is against Antasma,who at that point of the game was still trapped in the Dream World
The zeekeeper’s personality kind of reminds me of the mighty eagle from the angry birds movie, they’re even both famed, worshipped mighty birds that protect the inhabitants of their island

Literally a high schooler named Ethan (nothing wrong with being named Ethan don't worry) who abandoned his girlfriend after she proposed to him AND never proved himself as a great fighter in any scene.

I can understand why you hate the plot twist of Bowser betraying Antasma, Antasma was a cool villain and really should have been much more of a threat in the story, but I actually think it was REALLY cool that Bowser betrayed Antasma like that, instead of Antasma doing it, it honestly makes me think of Bowser as a much smarter antagonist and was a pretty badass move in my opinion, but despite that I still wished Antasma was much more of a villain in the story.
I agree, however I was not surprised he betrayed Antasma as Antasma is near pure evil and Bowser is more of a jerk than a villain and most certainly would not have worked with Antasma had he known about the whole p,illo genocide thing.

I think bower betraying the other antagonist was a good thing in a way as he had been pretty much used by the other antagonists in previous games. However, it really does suck that it has to be the cool antagonist that couldve had more lines and moments that he betrays…
Should mention, the Zeekeeper does actually have three eyes, he opens his third one when he fires his Wakebeam to break the barrier surrounding Neo Bowser Castle.

That sequence in the beginning with Antasma and the balloon crash landing was actually just a nightmare Luigi was having. And I actually think the dramatic song is effective. It’s called “Panic Pit”.

In the first part, Luigi dreamed the whole fight while he was asleep. None of that in the dream truly happened, it was just a dreamy reflection of what was to come. Also I laughed out loud during the "that's this game's job" line.
Also the dream world is practically a parallel universe according to Nintendo.

So your opinion on this game is fair and understandable, yeah the padding, pacing, and tutorials really push this game away from being better. But it is still a great game at the end of the day. And you might not like this game or have fixed feelings on it but thats ok. And the story battle system is still good and a very fun game. And decent visuals (albeit a bit bland looking) They could've found a way to cut out the bed fetch quest near the end of the game. And yeah Bowser could've had less of a role in this game because Antasma seemed and was way more interesting than Bowser. Instead Antasma shows up a few times, we fight him and hes dead, FOR GOOD, no build up hardly a personality and character and just felt like a pointless character now. And as incredible as the final fight with him is, its kind of similar to the first 5 minutes of the game. Seriously, I miss when Nintendo made unique main antagonists. Extremely fair opinion on this game, its still a great game, just could've been slightly more better.
And this is technically the first time Bowser was the main villain in a Mario and Luigi game, yeah it still would've been better with Antasma

Well you convinced me to get this game and so far its honestly amazing probably my favorite in the entire series. Yeah there is some filler and tutorials but the tutorials are over with quickly and the bosses are honestly all amazing and really fun. And the games actually really hard probably the hardest in the series but the issues you bring up are still pretty big which makes this game all the more underrated

i played it and enjoyed every second of it, but with that i ended up finishing the game in +40 hours and somehow i still would replay the whole game again lmao

I love this game but the thing that I don't like (other than all the tutorials) is the fact that Luigi's Dreams aren't actually Luigi's Dreams
Instead Luigi is just a door to the dream world which is a parallel world or something, meaning that possibly anyone that could fall asleep in these places on these pillows would arrive there
It's kinda sad to realize they could've done much cooler stuff if it actuall was Luigi's Dreams, beste example being Dreaming of Luigi's Mansion

19:33 I played the hard mode version of the game where if you die, you get sent back to the title screen. I was stuck on this boss for about a week, which you have to spend an entire 2 to 3 minutes to try the fight again, and then I figured out that I could just place my 3DS on a flat surface, slowly pick it up while facing upwards, and slightly tilt the 3DS. That's the only way I was even able to get pass this boss and the next giant battle.

I was like "OH BOY" when I saw this because I know that this is- er, I mean, WAS your least favorite game in the series, and it got a final sin count to match!
Side note: I noticed that you sinned some things like the Wiggler fight and Bowser betraying Antasma that I've seen interpretations of that put them in a better light. Namely, the Wigglee tends to get tougher with each game, and Bowser betraying Antasma was a twist on how other villains controlled Bowser in previous games. You still did make valid arguments, though!

Here’s how I believe the Dream World works. It’s a pocket dimension, not some trip into Luigi’s mind.
I've theorized that the intro of the game with antasma is just luigi having a nightmare. Since there's no way they'd survive the blimp crashing and one of the straps snapped off, yet when it lands the strap is attached again. Plus luigi wakes up after all this

They should have given Antasma more time to flesh out his character, so that way, he would have lived up to his potential. And oh yeah, that's part of the reason why Meta527ii said that Dream Team would be a lot better without Bowser.

Bowsers Betrayal was completely unnecessary and stupid. It made no sense for Bowser to betray him because Antasma made him stronger, didn’t even want to conquer the world and was nice to him. Yeah I get it he’s a villain but it’s still stupid. Also In my opinion it’s kind of a bad thing they made Bowser all villainess again in this game. He completely over shines in Antasma Who should’ve been the main villain. So excuse me for not being able to take Bowser that seriously when in the last game we saw him get fat. Also you could completely remove Bowser betraying Antasma from the story and nothing would change. That was her betrays him in the last 15 minutes of the game and right after we find out that I was or betrayed him Antasma dies so what was even the point
If you aren't leveled up enough, there's no way you're able to beat that final boss. Just... no way.

I remember playing this game. Did anyone else face against those annoying hermit crab enemies when looking for bros attack pieces?
Fun fact: I actually played this game (Only up until the park section as of making this comment) and I actually really enjoyed my time playing it. (Except for the tutorials since those suck)
I'll be honest my favorite part about the game was the save system. Rather than having to hit a block you can save ANYWHERE on the fly with the touch screen. I used this like it was nothing and told the save blocks to get lost and just used that to save my progress.
this is by far the longest mario game to complete (mario games are short but still) mushrise park is only like the first 10% of the game there is way more

My opinion on all the games
Superstar saga: really good start to the game
Partners time: very good with the time travel plot
Bowsers inside story: nostalgic and very fun
Dream team: nostalgic and very dream like
Paper jam: is okay not that bad had alot of fun
Lol I don't think I ever played through paper jam without getting bored and then having fun by clipping out of bounds
19:34 Actually, this particular instance of gyroscope controls, as well as the one in the giant Bowser fight, are bad like this because of a glitch where the gyroscope is sensitive enough to be messed with by the sound vibrations from the speakers of the 3DS. Turning down the volume or muting during these sequences fixes this.
It's also worth noting that in every giant battle, it also affects the finishing bros move, albeit to a lesser extent, and you have a much easier time getting an Excellent if you turn down the volume very quiet or mute during the finishing bros move.

I literally stopped playing for a week because at the time I got every bed piece except the one guarded by the wiggler and then found out you had to be level 20 at least. I was like 15 or 16 at the time and I did not feel like grinding

I mean, unless your gyroscope is really bugged, it’s not that hard to hit at least MOST Goombas surrounding Private Goomp along with all of the Elite Trio themselves with Luiginary Ball. In fact, BP Knockout Bangle makes Luiginary Ball virtually free to use in general, since Dream World encounters come in groups of 10-20 enemies most of the time

I love how the first few X variants of the bosses can go down in like 1-5 turns easily and then you get to Antasma X and it's all over. Oh yeah and there is a turn limit.
in hard mode antasma x 2 shots you even at level 50 and maybe even 60. i needed to grind with the farmer boots for hours to have a chance

You make a lot of good points. If peach is so much more powerful with starlow by her side as was demonstrated in bowser's inside story and dream team, why doesn't she keep her with her all the time?
Starlow has a life first of all,second,all peach did was throw a little laser at Bowser that didn't even knock him out,and in inside story she only throwed Bowser out of the castle when Mario defeated him. Besides Bowser has an ARMY,starlow and peach aren't defeating all of Bowser's minions on their own.

2: the reason peach got close might’ve been it had her in a trance(which is hinted by her slowly going towards it) which yeah they didn’t make it clear, it makes sense if you played or watched anything that relates to mind themes.
3: Yeah I found the balance of the Dream world to not be 70%, more like 50 or 60, way better than BIS where it takes ages to finally control the bros in a 3D environment!
4: The reason he is surprised is because HE HAS NEVER BEEN IN A DREAM AS A PERSON, so he wouldn’t know if Luigi would be a god, would exist physically, or even be there considering it was a just discovered portal that Luigi couldn’t go through because he was sleeping.
5: Dreamy Luigi fits the theme of Cognitive or Dreamy powered versions of real beings like the Drombas or Dreamy Bowser, so what you want him to be called something like Dreamigiling?
6: He is shooting coins to bait Mario into the attack, have you not played Mario and Luigi before, a lot of enemies do this.
7: It is not Luigi’s head it’s the Dream World, it exist whether or not Luigi does, that is why you can only travel through Dream Points and why they are not too related to Luigi(I just realized I broke multiple sins with this one)

4: I don’t know about you, but my dreams are weird as F***, so it makes sense that Mario did not expect Luigi to be there in a manner similar to real life, plus this is the first time they learned of and went in Dream world, so Mario might expect that this is somewhere else that Luigi can’t be since he is in the real world.

Sorry for making it unclear in some of them, the comment was so big my typing was lagging, still though I’m glad you responded so I could hear your opinion. Also here are some tips that might allow you to enjoy this game more:
1: Use badge combos that give protection from attack for a certain amount of times if you are struggling, keep in mind for the battle ring use the lesser version(which is 3 attack protection), since it charges faster.
2: When you see a gold beanie save before going into battle against, and reset when it runs away, so you can practice counter attacking enough in one attack in order to ensure you can stun it each time, to where even if you fail to stun it, you can still make it less likely for it to run away by giving it less chances.
3: Do all the Luiginary attack challenges for the creepy block lady, they are surprisingly easy and give good rewards.
4: If you start the expert challenge perfectly, commit, and use the gold beanie save and load tactic to avoid losing progress on expert and dodge 10 challenges, since the reward is really good unless you are not already on track to get it.
5: Money is no more than if you do the Mario and Luigi trend of fighting any battle you can, and is only slightly less if you only most of the enemies you see, so don’t be afraid to buy much unless you want to prevent losing the viability of the coin themed gear.

Yeah, Bowser betraying Antasma was stupid. It would've been better if Bowser's theme playing more than Antasma's was false foreshadowing and had other things that made the player believe Bowser would betray Antasma, but then it would pull a 180 and have Antasma betray Bowser instead.

Yeah, the space-time rift attack is just... INFINITE RAGE! Since (at least, from my experiences) the gyroscope barely works when that happens, you might think there's something wrong with the 3DS/2DS.

I think Dream World isn't LUIGI'S Dream World. It's essentially a different dimension, which we use Luigi to get into. Luigi is not a dream maker, he is a dream door.
