Bob Bell Tells "Bell Witch" Stories with Modern Day Meanings

- Robert H. (Bob) Bell, direct descendant of John and Lucy Bell, shares his personal stories of the Bell Witch with experiences from his own life. John and Lucy Bell and their children were tormented by the "spirit" with the self imposed name "Kate" in the early 1800's. John Bell died after being poisoned by Kate according to the legend. This is the only reported murder in U.S. history attributed to a paranormal entity. Does Kate live on, still pulling pranks? Watch the video and decide for yourself. Filmed in Adams, Tennessee in a log cabin that once stood on the Bell Farm.

I lived in Nashville as a child and we always went to the bell cave every yr around Halloween, and it never failed we always seen a basset hound and no matter how hard we tried it would never come to us

Dr. Clifton, I was wondering if I could share this video on facebook? I think people would just love to hear Robert Bell's stories. It's just fascinating and what a legacy the Bells leave behind. So glad you did this interview. A lot of these old stories are lost with the older generations. Every family at one point had these stories to tell. I have a few from my own family. Thanks to my Grandma and the oral tradition of storytelling in the South. I wouldnt trade them for the world. Keep up the awesome work!

this story is so extreme I thought that it was all folklore. And when I went there I had weird experiences like hearing the footsteps on the gravel trails. I quickly turned around and took to photograph both were completely different with a weird orbs and lightin them
peter panpiper I don't have to go there to know this and something wrong there everytime I look at it on the Internet or even on the video I get the feeling someone's watching me or I can feel the dread coming from the image it's really creepy

The 14 year old girl followed him into an attorneys office and then left with him. It is actually pretty common to be followed by a spirit.

Tn wild man a white flash at about 9:23 regarding The Bell Witch video. Normally, I can catch images purposely embedded in videos, but this happens SO INCREDIBLY FAST, that I can’t stop on it! It happen in the 9min & 23 second mark! Upon rewatching a 3rd time...it flashes again at 10:23! Interesting!
Listen between 10:14 to 10:17 you can hear a whisper clears day but it sounds like can you hear me.

right on. what gets me is the camera seems to have a malfunction of some kind right before hearing the voice come thru. The two instances combined to me in the events they happen don't seem coincidental,..to me anyway. i watched it over at least 10 times it is a really good peice of evidence. would love to see more. would love to be able to investigate all the Bell places you are very fortunate.

Thank Noticed flashes of light I can’t seem to freeze or land on...as they’re way too fast to catch at 9:23 & at 10:21! First time he is speaking about a group photo at the cemetery, during the second flash, he is talking about the medium at the lawyers office & the second flash is right before he says “medium!” This is in regards to the medium seeing this same 14 yr old girl next to him! So...interesting the these flashes happen around each time he talks about her being seen! At 10:15 female breathy voice...trying to make it out? “Tess,” “Death?” Or “Dead,” sounds like. I really don’t know! Interesting though. I kept starting & stopping the video to try to catch the voice & the flashes...because of stopping & restarting, the video remained darker & so the flashes were easier to pick up! (The voice might be that if the camera lady, Dr. Sue Clifton, gasping...I don’t know.

+Chris Royal Hi, Chris. Thank you for the observation and comment. I videoed Bob in this youtube so know who was there and where each person was standing. I will find the original footage and go back over it so I can amplify the sound. At first I thought it was me speaking in the background, but it is too faint since I am holding the camcorder and my voice comes through loud and clear. I have caught many EVP's, great ones in the last two months, in this old cabin. I am adding the latest one shot in the cabin when Angel Leigh (subject of my latest book with one whole part for the Bell Witch Legend) and I ghost hunted in the cabin after seeing the play "Spirit." It is phenomenal! Watch for it later today!

I know this sounds strange but everytime I look at this house on the internet or even just look at it on a video I feel really weird looking at it like I can feel like something is watching me as I look at it I feel a sense of dread does anyone else get the creeps looking at that thing

My family graveyard one mile from my house is 5 old graves and the two you can still make out are from the same era. The other two are older maybe or maybe Cherokee sharecroppers old documents show my family was poor Irish so sure they weren’t slaves I’m Irish Cherokee and I’m sure that grave yard holds lots of my history. Nadia Zahroon saw the flash but I could not stop on it to see what it was! Interesting it happens when he’s talking about a photo! I heard no voice at all, though. (And I’m really good at catching fast frames that have been embedded purposely in videos, such as in many Beatles videos regarding Paul McCartney, but I could not catch this one!). Saw at least 2 flashes...one at 9:23! The second I see at 10:23! I wonder if those are dates significant to this ghost?! Interesting!

I had an experience with a rabbit I was trying to shoot with a .22 rifle my dad was right next to me. We were at this old farm house on the va/ wva line called George Washington state park off of hwy 81 in Virginia, I shot and shot at that rabbit it was no more than 10-15’ away dad said I wasn’t trying to hit it but I was I swear. I was about 14yrs old and that rabbit just hopped away from me and dad I was shooting a ruger .22 semi automatic I spent every shell trying to hit that rabbit 🐇
