This week we are taking the #volkswagen Mk8 Golf R #rebuild to Silverstone to the German Car Festival with @volkswagenracinguk and @awesomegti @awesomecars1 the Mk8 R through its paces. But as is tradition nothing ever goes to plan!
Then to show me what a real race car is like I was put in the passenger seat of the MK7 GTI TCR with racing driver Phil House.

The rs3 needs to be a 5cylinder thats the whole point of it, the lmb is a bit stupid being a 4pot tbh
I believe for the series it’s designed for they are limited to a 2.0 litre. But it would be so cool to build a road going 2.5 litre 😊

That golf is modified for the tcr series hence the name golf gti tcr pretty self explanatory really Chris
I mean its built on the normal production line so does that actually mean its modified? 😊 the doorcards and rollcage etc are all factory fitted.
