Yeah,ME TOO.. The fact that WAR is Ugly. And the places where people died are so pretty..❤ I have so much respect for those people who served and died. But WAR IS SO UGLY! As people of the world,if we worked together for peace as hard as we work at war, The world would be a much happier place.❤
I pestered them until they gave the name of the piece. I bought the album! You should hear the other version of Honor with strings and oboe. It’s slower and even more beautiful than the full orchestral version. ❤❤
It is incredible that after something as devastating as the "Big war", there were people alive who would seek out and provoke an even worse war 21 years later😢
@@jean-marcbourdon5778 Wow! It's amazing that the statue survived the war. We Americans can only learn from these horrible wars through media and stories that were documented.
@@AnnA-tu3ig The Vimy Memorial was built after the war, it survived WW2 as the myth goes that Hitler ordered that it would remain untouched. Either out of respect for it, or fear of what the Canadian army woud do in response to damaging it. The worst damage its ever suffered is from the odd vandal and neglect of the memorial by the Canadian government.
I like looking at history because it reminds me that I will pass through here too ❤ Faces pass away, things pass away, and the place remains a witness to our ugliness

Wow i love this that keeping the memory alive of a war that had to be fought in a tribute to all who we lost during World War II. Let this never happen again.
I love when the buildings in the backgrounds are still mostly the same niw as then. Breaks my heart to think of the history & lives lost during war. Humans are not supposed to be so destructive. I wish , as a species we could change.
The music makes you yearn for the past. Stimulates the mind to want to remember the days of old when your father and grandfather lived. My father was a participant of the Bataan Death March and survived it.
Thank you for posting about WWI as my grandpa fought in that war. He was a kind and responsible man and he would never talk about his experience. Thank you to my grandpa and all those who have come after him. 🇺🇲❤️
Being on those grounds where almost 80 years ago, war was very visible.... These structures were witness to history's darkest times and yet here they are, still existing. I just wish our world will never again experience the horrors of war.
the places, the memories, are still there, but they're all healing now, peace still reigns, thank u brave heroes, who shed their blood and offer their lives
My great uncle(born 1897Normandy,France 🇫🇷)died in 1915 a WWI soldier aged 18. Gassed by the ennemy in a muddy trench. His body was NEVER found. Thank you for honoring them it was a hard time to live.
The Music so beautiful and meaningful. It reminds me that my parent was there during WW2, they keep on hiding Filipino soldiers versus Japanese soldiers during that war. Thanks to our countrymen Filipino soldiers who fought for our country. your brave, strong and save people and our country which is Philippines. ❤❤❤
Ypres two of my great, great Uncles were killed there. One outright, and the other injured taken to a makeshift hospital just off the battlefield, which was shelled by the Germans killing him. Both are named on the Menhm Gate.😢

Ypres saw the first large-scale chemical weapons used. The Germans had tried it in very limited use along some small parts of the front, but employed full-scale use of chlorine gas in the second battle of Ypres in April 1915.

WW1 & WW2 that brought us peace was upon them and by their bravery we are free. Thank you for sharing.
The Second World War made the warriors of the First World War forgotten this is sad
Not to Canada. More of our finest died in WW1 by a third. 66000 from a population of 8 million.
