I still don't know, to this day, or fully understand how akainu stood back up after that hit. Seemed like WB added haki to that attack too. Those attacks without haki made people like aokiji just crack, but akainu def was attacked with haki cos he bled right after. He should have at least waist damage that should make him unable to walk for his life. Even lower body paralysis should be expected

Old whitebeard dont use it due to being sick and only use the power of his devil fruit meaning it was basically powerful physical attacks which directed towards akainu body(fact, awakened logia devil fruit users cant be hurt from inside unless u use haki),it bleeds akainu from outside tho it didnt do that much damage to inside of the body as expected from logia devil fruits users. It doesnt matter what attacks u deal to them if u dont use haki. They dont die. If whitebeard use ryou along with his attacks. Akainu would have been blasted into pieces when he showed his real devil fruit power no mercy against marines by destroying navy base. Haki is the main key to piercing through logia users to directly hurting their physical body. And whitebeard barely used it in his old age except the scene against shanks, which is why he died due to lack of plot armour of not being main character plus with litterally with every marines focusing whitebeard with cannos,bullets knowing he is old and cant use ryou to deal any real damage to logia users to admirals from inside. The reason why there were impact frames on the part where Akainu shaves off part of Whitebeards mustache is because Whitebeard actually lost almost half of his entire face to that attack in the manga. It was just censored to his mustache for the anime.
I've always had it very clear... That day Akainu and Marineford survived because, despite everything, Shirohige held back A LOT.
Akainu is VERY powerful... But he's still a child compared to Shirohige's unleashed power
head canon, reread the entire marineford arc and take a look at how fresh Sengoku, Aokiji, and Kizaru are, the only admiral they needed to actually win was Akainu.
