    We've used Murphy's oil soap for years. He's right it does give it a natural clean look however for the past year and a half we've been using Bona on a separate floor downstairs and ive noticed a Big difference between the two. The bona had no build up as this video suggested nor is there any dirt trapped under the floor. I think that is due to the person cleaning the floor and how they're applying it. The bona is more like a water substance then wax and the Murphy's oil soap is a lot thinker and more oily. The Bona has surpassed our expectations for the price. We haven't looked for anything since. Our floor looks healthy great and we couldn't be more satisfied. So u can take this video how u like. Im not trying to discourage u from buying the other cleaners im simply offering u my honest opinion after seeing this i felt as if i should and if u don't believe me try it urself. Thanks

This other fellow did a magnificent job, but I screwed up and after he applied the satin finish coat, I waited a week. And thought I'd put a layer of a satin floor protector. Not realizing that the liquid gold is a permanent and now my wife is totally upset that it's a permanent finish. How am I able to remove this without damaging my finished floors

    Music is way to loud. I used Murphy’s oil on my hardwood floors for almost 20 years at my previous house without any build up. We moved into our current house almost 4 years ago and have used the Bona cleaners without any problem. I think the issue is the amount of Bona cleaner you used, it was like 20 times the amount you should be using. If you did that every week, no wonder there was residue build up.

    • @karimshaban5460
      @karimshaban5460 Před 2 lety +5

      It's not the amount of cleaner. They were using Bona POLISH. That's a polyurethane coating. The instructions on the back of that literally say "use 2-4 months, or even less frequently depending on traffic". Bona CLEANER can be used regularly.

    The problem I see is with open floor plans. Putting hard wood floors in high traffic/use areas where they get very dirty and then expecting to clean it with a dry/ damp mop is ridiculous. People used to have tile floors (maybe linoleum)in a kitchen and hardwood for other areas partially covered by an area rug. That was a better setup.

I’ve used Murphy oil cleaner and followed directions and still shows doggy prints 🐾 and shoe prints. It’s stressful. I didn’t choose this LV floor but it was already in the house. I have been used Zep, Rejunivate and Bona for awhile!
    This is my opinion
    I use Zep hardwood laminate floor cleaner for regular cleaning because they cheap and clean well. Buy a gallon can last a month. The finish after will be Matt , not shiny
    I use Rejuvenate when I want to deep clean like every other week. Feel so much clean and a bit shine.
    I don’t like Bona because they too pricey but already stock when them on sale for $2, I only want to used when I want quick touch up for shiny look only. Bona make floor slippery leave a film on the floor, my friends who wear sock almost fall when they take shoes off.
    ****Finally I find something that beat them all ##Pine Sol## is the best it clean well, it kill virus Corona virus and other germs. It’s protect your hardwood floor. It have a bit of shiny looks.The price is cheap, save money. a gallon you need to dulled it can last for long time. Only downside is smell so strong, I drop a few drop of essential oil like lavender or sweet orange.

    I used Murphy oil soap on a wood table and it stripped the wax and damaged the wood. I was surprised because it said it's safe for wood. What's going on? I'm not convinced that it's safe to use it on my oak floor.

      Murphy Oils soap is not good for modern finishes used today. It will weaken the finish and create a haze on the finish over time.

    Why would you use bona polish for cleaning?? That makes no sense. A polish should build and should only be used as needed. If you used bona cleaner you would have had better results for a cleaning experiment
