a couple of things i need to mention:
- some of my sample breakdowns aren't perfect, and there probably are errors in them regarding sample placement, EQing, chopping, etc. my videos aren't meant to be The Definitive Source For How You Reverse-Engineer Samples!
- i mean no harm to any of the musicians featured in this video - this video is meant to showcase some of my favorite samples! all samples are from publicly available information on whosampled dot com.
special thanks to musicbrainz & the cover art archive for being the source of some of the high quality album arts you see in this video!
Check out my main channel - @larisb
if you're reading this the next samples video may or may not be about a certain guy named Frank Timm - Hudba
*Corrections*
- Starfunk - Super Groove (0:21-1:53) has more samples however I did not include them (they are from the Shalamar song as well and are just basic chop 'n loops)
- Moodymann - The Third Track (6:34-7:22) probably does not have the second chop (I'm not sure, the piano could be an interpolation instead)
- The samples in WebQueawry - Searching (8:53-10:15) had their channels swapped however I did not notice it so it did not make the edit
14:06 fascinating that this guy just sampled themselves like that, gotta love when artists can flip their own work
HOWD I MISS THIS
Since you do requests, I have a couple of doozys for you:
Stardust - Music Sounds Better With You
Daft Punk - One More Time + Harder Better Faster Stronger
Here’s a few that I think would be fun for you to cover:
The butterfly by SPOoKS samples the smile America say chuck e cheese commercial
Vangarde by Jesse solo samples spandisco by love child’s Cuban blues band
Cruisin by kirigami samples I can’t stop the loneliness by anri
Air infector by SPOoKS samples heard it through the grapevine by the rockafire explosion
To be honest, it’s people like you who show simple yet effectively a sample can be made into records like these. I find it really inspiring.
Oozing style, brilliant song choice, spot on recreations. I gotta step my game up ;)
Holy shit I just saw you put searching in this what a banger!!!!
nicely done, my friend :)
Hooray, Part 3
For Part 4, Do My Request
Spinal Scratch By Thomas Bangalter (Samples The World Is A Ghetto By George Benson)
Potential By Hornetics (Samples I Owe You One By Shalamar)
Make Luv By Room 5 (Samples Get Down Saturday Night By Oliver Cheatham)
Roulette By Sovate (Samples Let’s Go Dancing By Sparque)
Cover:
Boogie Pimps - Somebody to Love (Salt Shaker Mix)
YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SMAPLEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
nicely done! if there'll be a part four, E-Samba by Junior Jack has a good sample of Negra Sin Sandalia by Orfeu Negro (interesting choice, i know)

Well I’m not sure many people would want to see it anyway.
😳Some probably Would though.
given the fact that I know 13-year olds are part of the audience of this video maybe it was the right call for me to censor it 😅
@@LarisB Hmm… 13 year olds wanting to get into sample mixing? Perhaps not everyone in Gen Alpha has been completely brainwashed after all. I mean of course not Everyone is brainwashed, but it’s nice to hear about those who aren’t.
