With his complaints he should have purchased a Cadillac SUV but then he wouldn't look cool to his followers. My other truck which is a 2012 Ram has had no issues. 435k miles on it and no problems. Same with the Ram I traded in on this POS Sierra. Never had a problem with that Ram either. Doesn't have certain options? Really? IT'S A TRUCK. Meant to be a workhorse. Not a luxury vehicle. I can already tell from this video that you are the type of guy who buys an expensive diesel truck and lifts it and puts ridiculously big rims on it because you think it is cool. I own a 95 4x4 Chevy truck that has no A/C and has taken a beating because I use it to haul and work. LIKE A TRUCK WAS MADE FOR. If I wanted a show vehicle I would go out and purchase and restore an older muscle car, not an $70,000 truck that I don't use as a truck.

always lock your tailgate especially if it has a back up camera in it. my salesman at my dealership actually told me this too
They have been using that coating on frames for decades. I had to take the bed off my 2500HD and sandblast it. A lot of it would not come off because the rubber would absorb the energy of the sand hitting it. A wire brush on a grinder just makes it turn to liquid and it does'nt move. I ended up having to prime over the parts of the frame where the rubber had not come off. After three coats of Rustoleum primer and paint. The truck was back to rusting within two years. I think the lesson is to absolutely get rid of all the rubberized coating because it actually rust beneath then falls off.

hey,yes agree frame undercoating really sucks ! I have 2008 LTZ and has not one ,but three garage door opener buttons! unfortunately they're in the middle and not convenient for me there !like you I have my old opener, on the left of my visor though.also have sunroof and definitely agree its awesome to have !Absolutely love my truck ,bought it new in 2008 and have just over 100k on it ! engine just broken in - lol !happy easter !

Of course, I do agree with you, if a lot of the other vehicles have it, it would be cool for trucks to, especially at the price you have to pay for a new vehicle.

Dude, if you got a great deal sell it and buy a 2017. It has the things you want minus heated rear seats and a good dipped frame. Solution for those are move to the south.

I know on my 09 sierra I modified the latch that holds the back rest for the back seat which allowed me to tilt it forward when you lift bottom up half way.
Cocoa Dune Interior is the best man. Ive got that with the Metallic Brownstone paint on my '15 1/2 ton. The best color combo IMO

good video bro..i have a 15 ltz ..wierd but its a little different..I dont have the snow plow option...dont have the rca looking jacks in the back of the center console..no seat memory..have heated front and pass seats...I got a good cure for the frame coating issue..Move to Cali...we dont have the rust problems out here in the Bay Area..lol.....thanks for the video brotha

2018 Duramax to get the upgraded diesel with 910 ft lbs of torque :-) I had my '02 Duramax Silverado lifted 6". I got tired of climbing in and out of it and as my big dog got older, he could no longer hop up. Lifting him in there sucked. My new truck is stock height but is now leveled. Orange peel is prevalent on many cars and trucks today.
What foam did you use for the tires ?
on the wifi hotspot complaint, the wifi for these trucks is just like a cellphone plan, you stick a simcard in the truck and it performs just like a wifi hotspot which can be picked up cheaply and very easily added later
The seats in my 07 fold down. Try lifting the bottom up then pull the back and bottom down together

Man, they made some MAJOR updates to the 2016's. I have the same truck (2016.5 3500 SRW LTZ&Z71 package) but its a late model 2016 and has many of the small things you don't (apple car play, LTE, sunroof, etc). I will say no rear climate control is pretty lame. But still better than a dodge or ford in the driveway. Been following your build on Ig and has always been a favorite. Getting mine under way right now as well.
Andy R I like all trucks but I'm surprise the Chevy is lacking in the rear seat department and not having pushbutton start or keyless either that's crazy. A base Laramie ram has that plus heated rear seats and 6 rear AC vents and even a lower model big horn has 6 AC vents in the back.

Wrong. I've owned a fully loaded 15 slt and traded for 16 denali. The cushions is the seats are more supportive yet softer. The amplifiers for the Bose system in denali are bigger/ more powerful, and if not more powerful definitely way more bass
Jason Jones that's Denali. Not high country. You can get every option in the Ltz that you can on high country. Except the color stuff and leather. Denali has things you can't get on slt. Like foreword collision. They're not the same truck. Plus the Denali comes standard with the 6.2. The high country does not.

Why is the lock cylinder on the driver door silly? Most manufactures do that in the event the RKE malfunctions or your battery dies.

everyone does E coat except chevy has wax coating that comes off from the factory
well its okay, at least my Colorado Duramax has an e-coated frame... i guess its to much to ask for a 60k+ price tag truck though lol. Not to mention these trucks have 2 usb's in back plus the 12v.
I'm suppose your ltz doesn't have black interior and looks like your passenger seatbelt alert isn't even installed either I have a 14 GMC Sierra 1500 slt pretty much ltz in Chevy pretty much all bells and whistles besides sunroof and DVD player in the backseat which doesn't bother me but wish I had a sunroof and they could of dont better quality of headlight bulbs like hid

TheGrayGhost Hummer but not keyless entry, and with the remote start you still need to put the key in the ignition to be able to shift out of park and drive it.
Why did you buy it then?
NEVER put rubberized coating on your frame. It causes massive rust. Instead use something like rustoleum black primer and then rustoleum black paint followed by rustoleum clear coat. Chassis saver sucks and will fall off as you drive.

I drive a 2017 Denali HD L5P and outside of the rear entertainment package (which you have), there are NO options for rear vents, any type of rear climate control, certainly no heated rear seats, in fact there's only a single dc outlet in the rear....and that's it...I've confirmed that both visually of course, and with multiple GM reps/dealer reps. The engineers claim the two middle vents are meant to flow to the back of the cab as if cutting a couple rear vents was just wayyy too over the top.
I was coming from a 2007 LBZ Sierra CCSB LT3 (Loaded/leather/bose) and that truck had rear adjustable vents in the back of the console, two headphone jacks, radio controls, drop down cup holders and at least one DC jack....now, 10 years later, virtually the same truck in terms of its place at the top of GM's fleet and I've already noticed that I have to overcompensate with either heat or AC to make rear passengers comfortable.
So basically my rear passengers can charge their phones....one at a time. You have the best available rear seat package for GM full size trucks (Yukon & Tahoe excluded)
This is what I was referring to when referencing the Yukon / Denali. I too face those struggles with having to over compensate with climate control.. more over freezing or sweating my a** off to get rear passengers comfortable.

I just looked at that picture and it just reaffirms the lack of love when it comes to fit and finish on the HD trucks. Half tons get the sick led head lights, tail lights, and fogs, 22s etc...
Durtymax Jack It's kind of weird how a usually cheaper Ram HD Big Horn (the best you can get that still has cloth seats) has all the options you listed other than the keyless entry and the fact that I didn't get a sunroof option and also a base Ram Laramie which is equivalent to your LTZ has heated rear seats, keyless, and 6 rear AC vents and even the Big Horn has 6 rear ac vents and heated cloth front seats and heated steering wheel.

Honestly very nice truck, but Ford is just ahead of the game. One of the main reasons I didn't get a GM is because the back seat doesn't offer much leg room and a plain looking dash

The frame wax seriously does suck. It attracts dirt and makes it look disgusting after a short while and stripping the frame of wax is a nightmare (Im in the process of it). GM needs to do something about it.

That's almost diesel fuel pickup trucks with fuel problems if you're having them it seems like most are have problems with fuel or oil problems.
Some wet sanding and mild paint correction from a professional detailer would take care of that orange peel effect.

No truck with a snow plow package comes with a sunroof. No matter the trim package. It weakens the integrity of front portion of the truck for some reason.
Im not sure for chevy and ram, but I know Ford Super Duties that have the snow plow package can come with a sun roof if a sun roof is ordered. I personally drive a 2015 Ford F350, king ranch dually, 6.7L with the snow plow package and a moonroof.....

So this video is definitely helping with deciding between duramax and cummins... I was trying to compare to Laramie vs Denali vs LTZ... aside from the look of the GM being better in my opinion, I actually like the Rams interior much better as it has a rear climate control and heated steering wheel type crap. (But I'm retarded, who knows I may freaking end up with a powerstroke if the right deal came by!) btw, so far, I love all the mods. Clean, tasteful, but still says "bad m effer"

Hey, I have a Duramax LBZ 2002. only covered 50k miles. I am in England and all the garage guys over here 'Suck', they have no idea about trucks like this. I try to custom, but getting gear is hard and costly. I would LOVE mine to sound like yours. Can you come over to England and live here for a year and customise my truck ha ha. I am very jealous, any advice you can give would be welcome.
