Thanks I'm a newbie who just got a set, this is very helpful as I only knew what the main central focus wheel did. I will now adjust it for my weaker left eye thanks to this video. Got a lovely sight yesterday at dusk when hundreds of hares emerged from the treeline and chilled out and I got to see them playing up close thanks to my binoculars!

Nice tips, just ordered my first ever pair of Binoculars online so looking forward to using them. No idea if they're any good, the specs are 30X40 and 1500M/9000M whatever that means. Anyway thanks for your guide here and a happy new year from Scotland.
It is a bit too high, ideally aim for 8x or 10x anything higher than that will be unusable without a tripod, I have a set of 8x and a set of 20x too but I use that for mostly stargazing with a tripod. It is better to have an image crystal clear and far away, than an object too close and blurry.
Not really a good choise should have done more research
just cant get my glasses to focus no matte how many times I try. Think they might be damaged
keep seeing double.
If you see 2 images, your binoculars may have been dropped and they are no longer in colimation.

If you are seeing double through your binoculars, the barrels are probably out of alignment and in need of repair. If you binoculars are inexpensive, the repair might not be worth the cost. More expensive binoculars, though, often have lifetime warranties, and realignment might be covered. This isn't a repair you could do yourself.
