Spongebob is a good example. It’s getting better, but the episodes really took a downfall from what they used to be.
its getting better? Really? I havent seen any of the newer episodes. I used to keep up til around season 8-9. After that, I really just started hating most of the characters due to them being overplayed on their worst aspects. Patrick became infuriatingly dumb just for the sake of being dumb, gross out "humor", etc. I also didn't like the newer look of the animation as I preferred the older style. Is the charm of the old episodes actually returning? Cuz if it is, I'd happily return to watching a few of the new episodes.

I love the first three seasons as much as any SpongeBob diehard, but I also feel we put them on a little too high of a pedestal, especially since the show has gotten better than ever since Season 9!

The only disappointing about Teen Titans is the series finale but was still a great episode and I did not think season 3 was that weak and season 5 is also great.
Season 3 was kind of weak imo yet season 4 was amazing. Season 5 wasn't the best season but it was interesting and unique. Yeah, I don't necessarily know why it's on the list.
I loved all seasons it's Teen Titans Go that's the problem
season 3 was good and season 5 was Endgame before Endgame
Season 4 was the best season because it involved more Raven.
I don't think the series finale was disappointing, it taught a valuable lesson to its audience. However I do believe the series being ended when it was by cn was disappointing.
I am mostly dissapointed over the latest seasons of The Fairy Godparents. The addition of Timmy's girl neighbor, which she also became the 2nd owner of Cosmo & Wanda, is the part that let me down... But not as dissapointed as when Cartoon Network created Teen Titans GO! Now thats when they hit low... Too low.

Yoel Azar adding a new character is called the Cousin Oliver syndrome it is named after a horrible character that was in the last 6 episodes of The Brady Bunch. The idea was to bring in a new cute character. Cindy was growing up and in real life was in that awkward pre-teen phase. This happened on other shows like adding Andrew who aged like 3 years from his birth to the next season or Scrappy Doo who I've always called Scrappy Crappy Doo

After five seasons and an animated movie, Marathon Media decided to make Season 6, but it ruined the series. There’s no hope for a Season 7 because Marathon Media was shut down in 2014.

What? Marathon got shut down in 2014? Guess they lost money,went bankrupt and became defunct.
The failure of Season 6 is another reason that led to the shutdown of Marathon Media. It never aired in the US, but those who have watched it on CZcams felt totally disappointed.

I personally see them as completely unrelated, despite having the same characters (only by name at least) they're both just too different in essence. One is a clever and innovative adaptation for a newer generation, while the other is just a silly parody that MUST NOT be taken seriously, and at doing that, TTG delivers

My only gripe with this list is Superjail. It never ever went bad. Matter of fact, it's one of the VERY few shows that constantly remained amazing through everything. I so wish it would be still around. I rewatch all the episodes at least yearly, but sometimes more than once a year. I love it.
Yeah idk what they're on about, I've never heard anything bad about the post-season 1 episodes except for people who just don't like the show in general (and some have gripes about season 4, but nothing major)

You left out the original TMNT. It went off the rails by season 4 and never recovered.
Yeah and truthfully when they decided to pretty much have no Shredder and aim for a "power rangers time period" influence those last few really tanked it.
The same show that-despite obvious "80's everywhere" probably did the best job with a rawer animation style than later with the mouths and the plotlines in the first six episodes than anything did at least until the first live-action film and nothing ever since.
Even though Season 6 and 7 were considered very good seasons.
Plus it wasn't like the first 3 Seasons were anything great to begin with especially 2.
Although the final 2 seasons, aka the Red Sky Seasons did improve in animation quality (updated theme song notwithstanding) and saw less animation errors than most of the earlier seasons. Plus Lord Dregg (at least in his initial episodes) was an nice replacement for Shredder as the main villain and relied more on cunning until later in the 10th and final season when he went from cunning to gradually going off the rails with each successive defeat to the turtles.

I was just a little kid and it struck me so hard back then, it was like if Doug has died. Worse than ending the series, because it feels more hopeless

I don’t think it went bad. I might be biased, but I think it was necessary to develop the characters a bit, because I feel like if they stayed one dimensional, they would become unlikable as both characters and to watch.

And That movie was a Box Office Success while there was a post credit scene with The Real Titans saying that they may have found a way back . . .

I agree, season 4 did not happen in my book. I absolutely hated season 4 for the way it ended. The only ep I thought was passable was the Breaking Bad parody, but even then it was really lacking the heart and the social commentary that Boondocks is known for. And that was the biggest problem of the final season. I love the Boondocks, and I’m looking forward to the new installment coming up 🥰

I know right?! I find it increasingly annoying how Teen Titans Go is still on air, even if the show got better after the Theatrical Released Movie, 270+ episodes is still too much for a single parody show, especially when that's more episodes then the original show. Honestly, they should have just ended TTG after that straight to DVD crossover with the original Teen Titans, weather or not it was necessary, it could have been a good send-off. Cartoon Network could still do re-runs of TTG while the Original Voice Actors work on a 6th season of the original show on either the DC Universe streaming service or Netflix, and give the show a satisfying ending fans have been waiting for over a decade.
But *NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!* These "Original" Voice Actors, if not, DC and Warner Bros, want This Teen Titans Go Nonsense to go on and on and on and on and on and on and on! Seriously, why won't they get it through their skulls that the joke is NOT funny anymore?!?!

The Writers Did A Great Job On These Shows And The Actors Did A Amazing Job 👏👏👏👏👏
This is why most shows (cartoon or not) should end while they’re still good. Those that did; like Breaking Bad; never went bad and lost their mojo
Lessons to take away from this:
1) Don't pitch your show to Fox, or Nickelodeon, because you'll get sucked into a gravity well from which there is no escape.
2) Sam Simon quit The Simpsons at the right time.
3) Don't spin-off, or reboot, an already classic show. Teen Titans GO! makes me want to shoot myself.
4) Don't fire the creator(s). They're the ones responsible for each shows' existence, and subsequent success.
5) If Billy West is the main, or one of the main, characters, DON'T FUCK WITH THE FORMULA OF THE SHOW! Matt Groening himself said that the comedic rapport between Billy West and John DiMaggio was so good, their ad-libbing should be a show in itself.
Also, as a side note, Family Guy is not a vehicle for Seth MacFarlane's political, social, and atheist ideologies. Dude does the voices, and that's it. His involvement with writing, producing, and even directing, is fuck all. Same goes for American Dad!, and that was how it used to be for The Cleveland Show, as well. Hell, he even stopped voicing Tim the Bear near the end of Season 3, so he literally did nothing for the show for the last season. Nowadays, he's a Booth Bitch, and all the writing gets left to other people.

@@dannythomas417 If you're talking about Mike Judge, I didn't mention him, but King of the Hill went on for too long, the Beavis and Butt-Head revival sucked, and I'm pretty sure his biggest movie so far is Office Space, which is good enough for a cult following, but not a blockbuster, so his run hasn't been all that decent. And again, you can't compare Seth MacFarlane to Matt Groening anymore. Seth is an Executive Producer only because he co-created Family Guy and American Dad!, but he hasn't written or directed for either show in years, so any comparison between the two is already moot. And you can't include The Orville, as it's live-action, and this is a list about cartoons.

I believe that TTG will officially end somewhere in 2020. I figured that out about two years ago because that was when I realized that most full-running shows on CN last for 7 years. 2019 is TTG's 6th year.

Extremely surprised that both Gargoyles and Reboot didn't make the list. The 4th seasons of both shows were abysmal despite overwhelmingly great seasons beforehand.

Glad the Creator of Boondocks is coming back, and his departure is the reason season 4 sucked. Also, reason why not many of us acknowledge season 4. I also, agree with the Simpsons being number 1, show used to be so good, and it has fell off a cliff.

I think we can all agree that Tom and Jerry were in their golden years during the 1940s and 50s. And any other incarnation after that couldn't hold a candle to the original. Although there are examples that try to make the iconic cat and mouse duo as good as it once was (while also trying to do things that couldn't be done in the original), I still believe if it wasn't broken then why did they try to fix it? But considering they're reaching their 80th anniversary; who knows what the future holds for our favourite animal rivals? They might return to their prime, but for now I can settle for the classic shorts any day.
Who's glad Bojack Horseman, Regular Show, My Little Pony FIM, King of the Hill, Futurama etc. ended on good notes when they needed to and didn't become stale repetitive undead corpses like Simpsons, Spongebob and Family Guy did! Simpsons should had ended 21 years ago with Behind the Laughter, Family Guy in 2006 and Spongebob after the movie

However the most recent seasons 15/16 & 17 have become so bad that it deserves to be on this list now. Pretty much a shameful family guy clone that makes no attempt to be different or creative now in terms of characters and plots. Also almost all the main characters are terrible with Roger, Klaus and Jeff being the only likeable ones left

The Loud House: The first four seasons had good morals on sibling relationships relatable to all ages, each character had their own unique personalities, and good character development. Since season 5 they focused too much on Lincoln friends, character development out of the window, no continuity, and too predictable.
How about the movie? P.S. Please no spoiler. I'm planning to see it myself one day.

Another good cartoon I feel went bad was Star vs the Forces of Evil. Season 4 was rushed as hell.

Most of these shows ran out of steam. Family Guy is the only one that spun the car around, aimed for the cliff, and floored it.

What’s worse about Spongebob is Nickelodeon is going behind Hillenburg’s back and waited until he died to announce a spin-off of Spongebob. He didn’t want spin offs and essentially wanted his show to die with him. Way to disrespect the dead Nickelodeon.
I definitely liked The First Four Seasons of The Simpsons when Bart used to be The Number One Show Stealer of all. Especially when he used to open the show with his Comical Blackboard Skits in nearly every episode. But beginning with The Third Season 5 Episode (Homer Goes To College) boy did things ever make a wrong turn for the worst.
It's bad enough that Bart's Blackboard Gags wasn't shown in a lot of openings. Especially that they kept on going to really long commercial breaks after a not even a 30 second opening. But the most brutal unforgivable thing that they did was not have Bart speak, shown nor even mentioned in a very late Season 20 Episode titled Four Great Women and a Manicure.
How could Matt Groening do this to his very own creation? How could he do this to his Number One Character? Especially that he was the only cartoon character not even named after Matt's own family? And to make matters worse, by Late Season 18, special thanks to The Boys of Bummer, a lot of Die Hard Simpsons has just given up on hope for good and lost a lot of respect to Bart and even the rest of his friends and families.
Everybody was constantly booing, abusing and throwing stuff at Bart causing him to lose his coolness, comical sense of humor, wisecracking comments and having him burst into tears not even comically just like I would easily find in plenty of other been there done that televisions shows where a child and full grown woman would break down crying dramatically after taking these kids of physical and mental abusiveness.
It's a miracle that I still continue to watch the show and still able to enjoy lots of good laughs in plenty of other ways as well. But they're definitely not the types of episodes in which I would want to constantly watch over and over again like crazy. And to make matters worse, some of the celebrities that have been guest voicing on the show lately, I'm not even familiar with. I'm like who the hell are they?
It's a miracle that The Simpsons got at least one girl singing group to guest voice on their show before there was a great big drought on girl groups for nearly a decade. I'm still trying to wait real patiently for more like Little Mix, The Pistol Annie's, Maddie & Tae, etc to hopefully eventually guest voice while it's still not too late. But unfortunately, God only knows if that's ever gonna happen or not. So I guess we're just gonna have to keep on waiting on whether it'll eventually happen for real or not.

Nothing wrong with that. Feel free to like Homer Goes To College as long as you want. It just kills me that beginning with that episode, that really awful edited second season opening without Bart's Blackboard Sketch being part of it would constantly be shown in a lot of episodes. And to make matters worse, they go to really long commercial breaks after they show an only 24 second opening unless they can make the couch gag last longer in which very seldom has that ever have happened. I'm sorry Guys, but that's exactly who I am. I have very sensitive feelings about what I like and don't like.
Yes, but like Bullwinkle getting way more attention than Rocky for a good long while, the same thing would eventually happen to Homer and Bart as well leaving Bart in the dark unless he's constantly strangled by Homer a lot.
