THAT should be enough grass touching for a while.
now do pokemon games
There is never enough grass touching.
Touch grass
I'd say do Sonic next, but I'm pretty sure it would be immediate grass-touching for almost all of them.
love the touch grass series bit thing, but go touch some actual grass now
I suggested Zelda just because the first game had no grass.
Ganon reincarnated into Super Top Secret Area
@@JustJulyo
I'm not that evil, you could still play the Super Famicom remake, which actually had some grass in the overworld.
But you would be playing a partially lost, region-locked game with limited availability.
Ok, maybe I am evil after all.

Yes.
Touch grass in every Metroid game; oh wait they're all indoors.
Yo, love your vids man
*uploads mega compilation of playing through every Metroid game casually*
For some reason. I tought the same thing.

I think most of the games actually do have grass. Super Metroid has you start on the surface of Zebes which has grass, and Fusion has an SR388 habitat, which means Metroid II probably has grass on the surface. I haven't played Dread yet, so I can't say much about it. Metroid 1 technically has you touch grass at the very end, but cutscene grass doesn't count.
Edit: Metroid NES has 0 grass. I was mistaken. You could do a touch acid run, tho.
“Let’s go down this ladder carefully” (jumps off the ladder)
“Let’s go across this bridge now” (completely falls off the bridge)
“Also fun fact do you know you can die in the starting area of the game” Link failed his mission before it started 💀
So… I think you’re the world’s fastest “touch grass” speed runner then. Yes, this is now an official speed running category.
I’ll accept that title
Grass % speed run
I wonder if there's a way to touch 100% of every singular unit of grass in a game.
@@DasingerVoice Grass+Ass% - BOTW, touch grass then spend a night with Paya.
@@vividao4123 most games have grass as a texture, which you can't really measure.
I want to see a video of how quickly you can softlock every Zelda.
Fun fact: link wakes up at the start of every game as a symbol for a new hero “waking up” butt in sequels such as breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom
i’ve never noticed how many times you wake up to start the game, im glad you pointed that out lmao
someone should make a video about that, that would be really interesting to see! nintendo loves doing that cuz like, kirby and the forgotten land starts with kirby waking up - im sure theres a pokemon game or two that do that too
I heard somewhere it was meant to represent the awakening of a hero or something
It's a time-honored tradition.
I wonder, if we were to change the beginning of the original Zelda game and have Link wake up, how and where would it happen?
It makes sense. He needs some rest before he starts running and fighting for like 80 hours straight without any breaks.
All I can think of now is the hero of Hyrule walking out the door, faceplanting into the nearest patch of grass and snorting the shit out of it.
All why Ganondorf terrorizes the locals in the background.
That's just Breath of the Wild.
OoT dank% is that with a different type of grass
😂😂😂😭😭😂😂😂😂
Bro. -_-
Link wakes up at the beginning of Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks too
Hard to say why I spent the last 7:15 watching you touch all that grass, but it made me very happy. 😂 😂 keep up the good(...?) work!
"If a street performer gets you to stop, you owe them a buck."
I'm glad my grass touching made you happy. Thank you :)
I think I have the same story😂
Link waking up at the beginning of some games is a bit of story telling. It's supposed to signify a new hero. If you notice, Link wakes up in OOT, but doesnt in MM since it's a direct sequel.
Yeah it signifies the awakening of the next hero of Hyrule
Interesting, I never even thought about it until he started a counter.
It also serves to establish link's character. He's meant to be more laid back and chill, sometimes even with a bit of a lazy streak. Makes it more meaningful when he answers the call of duty. That's actually one of the reasons why I don't like BotW Link as much, since he never gets to have that bit of characterization because the game starts off with everything already going down.
Oh that's true ! And really interesting : we can predict that we will not wake up in totk for it is a sequel of botw (in wich we wake up after 100 years btw)
It's there to tell the player "This dude is just out here living his own quiet life when heroism smacked him on the head and he had to go out and Metroidvania"
Legend tells of a hero.. who wakes up and touches grass. And thus, the green tunic has been passed down from generation to generation to honor his odd obsession.
also a sword passed down to said hero, to cut and carry grass around.... people... still dont know why he does it.
True
This is truly riveting content and important journalism that everyone needs to be aware of. Keep up the good work!
Whenever link wakes up feeling incredible, he should worry, it's about to be a long day.
I approve of the "touch grass" series. More. Or maybe not. But more.
❗
Finally Adventure of Link is best at SOMETHING
IMO it was the game where it was the most fun to fight enemies all the way until BotW.
Hey, it was the best at making me want to go outside.
Best at hard difficulty?
It's best at making you want to eat your controller.
It has the best temple music too.
_Fight me!_
4:24 I recognized it! Fav zelda game's main soundtrack.. I love you my man
The Phantom Hourglass bit had me laughing my ass off
I love zelda's little green hat. His legend is very powerful. 🥗
Yes, Mr. Zelda is very powerful
Zelda is a great hero
I know this is a joke but it still makes me so disappointed
@@PodoHelmer I think you're confused. The games are called the Legend of Zelda, not the Legend of Link
@@PodoHelmer pretty sure it was sarcasm
"Also did you know you could die in the starting area of this game?" (as the camera slowly but surely moves back making Link grainier and graineir)
lol that what i was thinking too
Ok, no more touching grass.
Touch snow instead
HEY!!! I HAVE THE WII U BOTW VERSION TOO!!!
Great to see another Wii U enjoyer! Great videos, even though I take too long to realize references...
Link's awakening doesn't start with them waking up, it ends with it
Ironic

Mind: blown
How fast can the fastest hedgehog alive touch grass? I need to see more grass touching.
My sister had the same suggestion. Probably pretty quickly since a variant of Green Hill Zone opens at least half the games.
Green Hill Zone, Emerald Hills Zone, Angel Island Zone, Mushroom Hills Zone (if we count Sonic and Knuckles as its own game) just to name the Sega Megadrive games all start on Grass.
The Megadrive games all make this one easy, but after that it gets weird. If you start with the Dark story in SA2 you need to clear a whole boss fight before getting the chance to touch grass.
@@EinDose I mean, how far into City Escape do you get before there's grass you can touch? I bet there's some in it somewhere, but it's a pretty urban environment...
...and then you get to Heroes and you literally start on grass again :D
@@treyslider6954 you end up in a little public park after the boarding section, so it's not too bad.

Phantom hourglass was such a throwback I couldn’t remember the title of this game for years
4:46 You skipped the part where Link wakes up at the beginning of Phantom Hourglass
He’s also asleep on the floor at the beginning of Spirit Tracks.
He also wakes up at the begining of Twilight Princess, doesn't he?
I can confirm two of those, I have played Twilight Princess, Fado wakes Link up, and I have seen part of the intro to Spirit Tracks where Link was indeed asleep on the floor. Sorry that I don’t know about Phantom Hourglass. I might update this reply if I find out though.
@@lonedragonwolf1706 I can confirm he does indeed wake up at the start of Phantom Hourglass
I seriously cannot get over how good you are at touching grass. I wish I too held this talent, but to my dismay, I do not.
2:42 definitely looks like a totally sick nasty bike jump I would have made in the woods as a child
CZcams recommendations has struck and given me a good giggle.
Also I've died in the tutorial for Spirit Tracks.
Of course the green boi would be faster at touching grass than the red man
But is the blue hog faster than the green boi? These are the pressing issues of our time.

4:54 preparing the Zelda touch water video already, aren’t we?

Oh man that Ocarina of time title screen music hits hard EVERY TIME.
Seeing how long it takes to touch grass in some of these games makes me appreciate skipping cutscenes in modern gaming.
now do metroid games since that should be an actual challenge
link to the past was my first too it really made me love the series
Bro link to the past has a special place in my heart.. the first game I ever played actually
this is genuinely such a good video idea and its executed hilariously i laugh every time he leads into "-where there is plenty of nice grass to touch"
Don’t worry about not knowing that Triforce Heroes existed. Most people don’t. Nintendo gave it 30 seconds in an E3 Nintendo Direct then never mentioned it again.
Triforce heroes got a lot of one attention in one very specific community! And that's polyamorous couples. I was in an open relationship with a girl that played it with another couple. One of the only 3 player games playable by tumblr nerds.
Link waking up represents the rise or awakening of a new hero, that why he never wakes up at the beginning of sequels
Grasses have stems that are hollow except at the nodes and narrow alternate leaves borne in two ranks. The lower part of each leaf encloses the stem, forming a leaf-sheath. The leaf grows from the base of the blade, an adaptation allowing it to cope with frequent grazing.
Grasslands such as savannah and prairie where grasses are dominant are estimated to constitute 40.5% of the land area of the Earth, excluding Greenland and Antarctica.[7] Grasses are also an important part of the vegetation in many other habitats, including wetlands, forests and tundra.
Though they are commonly called "grasses", groups such as the seagrasses, rushes and sedges fall outside this family. The rushes and sedges are related to the Poaceae, being members of the order Poales, but the seagrasses are members of order Alismatales. However, all of them belong to the monocot group of plants.
5:12 me when I touch grass

Sick! You also have the WII U version of breath of the wild? That's cool dude! I have mainly seen people use the switch version nowadays, interesting that you also have the WII U version.
Love these touch stuff videos. Should finish off the Zelda series with touching Fire. :D
Air would be interesting too since the Mario one was fun, if you think you can make another video where each game takes 0.01 seconds and have the jokes cracking.
I love the "TOUCH GRASS" guy!
Is this the #1 horse streamer?
This is why Majora's Mask and the Oracle games are my favorites in the series: because you immediately start out touching grass 😤
Adventures of Link. The game that punishes you for touching grass.

Shadow Demons: *Snapping intensifies*
I am also one of the 10 with a Wii U copy of Breath of the Wild, nice to find someone who has one of the other copies!

Had grass growing in my childhood home for a while. Found it funny. I'm scared of bugs so I just focused on how funny somehow grass grew in the bathroom crack in the floor/wall.
Touch grass in every single pokemon game including the spin offs.
Avoid tall grass!
I also have the Wii U version of breath of the wild we just built different. This video was funny. Keep making great content.

This was more entertaining than it should be.
LMAO, I felt you with the BOTW game cause I have it on the Wii-U as well 😂

I guess that makes me the 3rd out of ten and i also completed the fame and dlc on both wii u and switch 😂
Here's the forth
Here's the fifth
Really, this makes a great test of the expansion of time between title screen and gameplay over the years. You can see the gap widen steadily with every subsequent release until the DS.
5:00
I could not relate to anything more than those few seconds after that mark.
Bro actually bought BotW on the Wii U, I didn't even know that existed 💀
I think we need to start doing with this on games that have barely any grass....
You forgot to include both Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks links waking up, bringing the total to 11.
It's because he skipped the cutscenes
Time to do The Kingdome of Tears now.
