I remember showing my friend the clip at 4:26 this one time when we were discussing weird laughs, and because I was so focused on showing her that I somewhat almost get hit by a car. It barely came close to me and I don’t think it would have done anything more than grazing me, so this statement might not be worth much, but it was worth it to keep the conversation going.

No not necessarily, movie executives who think horror = gore (now it's horror = jump scare) are the reason why most modern horror films suck. There doesn't need to be gratuitous blood and gore to have a movie get under your skin and stay there. Not to mention there are sub genres within horror i.e psychological horror, horror thriller, horror sci-fi, etc. Horror movies like The Ring, Rosemary's Baby, 1974's Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Psycho, the Shining have minimal to no gore and yet they're all considered horror classics. It's about creating a macabre atmosphere, the overwhelming feeling of utter helplessness as characters realize that death is inevitable. (Sorry for the long comment horror has been my favorite genre since I was 8)

QUESTION: I have always wondered this and have never figured it out. Why do people's voices in the 80's and 70's sound different than present day? Is it because of the audio used during those decades? I think about this more than I should.
I think their acting style was just different back then.

I've noticed it, too. It may be speech pattern? Kind of like how in most black and white movies no one interrupts each other. May also have to do with sound design and how we never really shushed out background noise until the 90s.

Good catch. Thought I was the only one to notice.
I remember I had a blindfold trust exercise for my drama class in high school, it was weird and I ended up getting really dizzy while being blindfolded, it was disorienting.
Two years too late but all the names in this one are still references to other things. Herman and Lily are the Munsters and there are several Brady Bunch (like Greg, Marsha) and West Side Story (like Riff, Tony, Maria) names.

Riff's death is my favorite. I love that she taunts him with 6 bar verse before she takes him out. Lol!
