If you simplify it like that yes, but he ran a whole distribution network over the internet. Also have to take into consideration it’s in Asia where weed is still stigmatized and heavily criminalized. If this was done in NA or even Europe he’d get off relatively easily

Too bad, many Asian country considered weed just as illegal as other chemical drugs.
In some country selling certain large amount of weed can secure you a death sentence too. He’s lucky that he wasn’t in Philippines when he got caught. Otherwise he would be shot dead at the scene.

I don't think he really fell from grace. He's still on trial and has a rather successful career as a youtuber/ commentator/ business owner.
he was released from prison pretty quickly it was only a few months and also he's just a content creator now and is actually very active
