You guys are awesome! My tuxedo sofa cushions have cording and the cushion covers are ALL sliding to the left and the cording is ending up 2+ inches on the side. Sofa and loveseat both, are only 1 yr old, problem started at 5 months. We are petite people, not overweight, no kids here. Please help! Thanks!

Hello there, thanks for watching the video so glad you did. Yes I’ve seen this before it’s not really common but it does happen obviously. From my experience what’s happening is the fabric is shifting with use. But it doesn’t slide back into position. So in other words your fabric cover is sticking to the foam. Try this one thing, it’s called upholstery silicon it comes in a spray can you’ll have to take the covers off the foam insert take it outside and spray both the foam and the inside of the cover very well. Once you this they should move independently from each other. That might reduce or stop your problem. I hope this helps feel free to let me know if it worked or not have a great weekend. Cheers, Paul

I enjoy your videos - thanks for making them! I have a couch that has cushions that have become too soft. Can I add more foam to the cushions to make them more firm as opposed to replacing the foam altogether? Each piece of cushion to replace is about 75.00; I'm thinking if I can get thinner pieces and add them to the cushions already in place, I may be able to get more support in them that way. Also for the back attached cushions, I found a zipper on the bottom of each cushion. Is it possible to just add more fill to those to make them firmer?

      Hi Terrie,
Great questions, to your first question technically speaking, yes, you could remove some of your old foam by cutting it down and adding a new piece to firm it up. The only two problems with that is by the time you cut down your old foam and add the new pieces as well as new Dacron, you’re probably looking at the same cost as replacing the whole thing. Also you still have an old degrading foam core for your cushion. For your second question yes you can open up the zipper and see if you have a poly fill insert inside your cover. If you do have an insert inside your cover you can open that up and fill it with more poly fill. If you don’t have a insert you can just add poly fill straight to your cover. I hope this helps!
Let me know if you have any other questions. All the best, Grant
