- There are so many ways to make money in Star Wars Galaxies! It's like asking "how do I make money in life!" But I do my best in this guide to give some ideas about how to make credits in the game.
EDIT: I'm informed you can sell items on the bazaar for 15 million instead of the 1 million mentioned in the video. I would still recommend you do the merchant thing though - there are so many benefits to having your own vendor.

You know, this is actually useful to me as I'm a player bounty hunter looking to afford a jewelry set but don't really have the time/dedication to run heroics with other people... grinding money alone is definitely something I can do.

Back in the original game, my best methodology for making big piles of credits was establishing resource contracts with Crafters. Using tools like SWG Craft, I would look for high stat resources, then establish a contract for collecting them. In many cases I was able to trade for improvements on my ships and armor just for spending a few hours mining diamonds in space, or dropping a few harvesters on a good spawn point.
A guide on how to program droids to harvest when following would be nice, actually a guide on droids in general, this game is massive.
I wish i took advantage of this back then. Its so much harder to make money outside of crafting
I always enjoyed grinding the Gotals (never used macros, I played the game the old-fashioned way like you're supposed to, haha) at the end of the Rryatt Trail (The Shadowed Lands) for credits ever since Live but starting about a year ago or so, macro cheater bots have taken it over 24/7 on all 6 instances! They'll have 6 or more bots running pulling every Gotal except the 4 at the entrance and they'll have a junk dealer, medics and everything. I often wonder if those botters are RMT credit farming bots because of how organized they are and they NEVER leave!
The ones who run the server need to make that a macro-free zone because not only are those mobs for quests, they're flooding the server with credits and the economy is going to get over-inflated eventually. Two or three years ago on back there never were any macro botters there. I don't know why they started going there. It's a mystery.
What I did was basically, sell my veteran rewards and buff in Mos Eisley. My boyfriend has figured out that pvp coins are selling well atm, although we dont know how long that's going to last. Money is not an issue in this game, you can pretty much have anything, but some items are just really really pricey and thats all.

NGE's economy is kinda broken traders do OK but things don't really break so say a gun lasts forever so traders don't get many repeat customers. Playing restoration 3 which is NGE but with the CU skill tree system and mechanics. There BH missions do well with high opp chance (luck) you can get 50-80k per mission. In R3 its been streamlined so less running around you contact just radios the bio data. Between my BH and weapon smith its easy to make money. BH missions give good stated items that I RE and sale. I don't sale many weapons but all three types of skill attachments and weapon repair with a few high end weapon sales.
Also if you have the time try to get the best resources it costs the same to get as bad resources which in some cases x4 your profits. Along with everything he says the key is to split it up so its not just one big grind...
Money is quite easy to come by in Legends. Just running your daily terminal missions on all 5 toons will net you 750,000 credits per day. You can also AFK credit grind on a combat toon for an additional 1 million credits per day, 2 million credits per day if you do it on two toons.
Space is hands down the best way to make big bucks and there isn't even a close second. Granted it's all RNG but its just a matter of understanding the stat system on looted parts and being able to determine what constitutes value and what is chassis dealer junk. if you're diligent in doing so then it's just a matter of time before you hit the lotto. The STC file is an invaluable tool for helping understand the stat system and determining what is and isn't worth keeping.
I started delving into space right from the get go when I started on legends. Within 6 months I had accumulated close to 2 billion credits

Yup, I like grinding stuff in Space. Either you sell it or yoU RE the good parts and sell them for MUCH more. I use to fight the mercenary ships at the Kashyyyk Space Station. They are having a good spawn rate and at least for me it feels like the drops there are often very good.
I also use to make Nyms Star map quest daily. Usually just takes around 20-40min. If I have done all the other pilots with my main space character, I plan on grind a few borstels, too. But I guess you also can loot them from those pirate missions, if you pull out convoys from hyperspace.
space isnt the best way. afk kill and loot macro is the best way.
@@adamkatt lol buddy if you only knew how massively misinformed that claim is. The payouts from space are so far and away above afk macro farming that it’s almost comical to compare the two
i dont know about the "new" legends servers, but i made money on the nge i think is what it is called by being a Teras Kasi bounty hunting terminal grinder. that afforded me the ability to replace my gear when it wore out. also surveying metals with two alts because i wanted to craft helped too.
I believe 10mill is the limit on the bazaar. So when I got BLs and PLCs its not ideal..

An update for bazaar terminals to anyone stumbling across this video, the cap has been raised to 10 mill from 1 mill. This is a great way for the average player to sell things without needing a vendor.
Dumb question how do you get your credits once you've sold something?

I believe it was carpet glue or carpet pieces that were a rare drop from human Mob npcs right outside the main spaceport town on corellia *edit they were selling for like 1m a piece
I just ran an afk kill and loot macro when i was at work or sleeping.. i quit playing swg again like two years ago and i was up to 150 mil. money is easy when youre lvl 90.
You can't run missions to make money. So that is out of the picture. There is a certain limit. I just ran two missions. The pay out was a GRAND total of 137 credits..... Before I hit my limit I was getting normal payout and an XP bonus.
I'm gonna get this game for my birthday this month and planning on being a wookiee warrior I either want to hunt animals or fight but was wondering can I make credits fighting for the rebellion
Yep, you can run missions for them, or you an be neutral and still work as a mercenary. There are lots of options for whatever you have in mind. It's one of the strengths of the game - player choice.

I don't know if anyone checks this vid anymore or not, but having newly leveled to 90 and with only about 1.5 mil to my name, saving for armor, I don't have good equipment yet.
Wondering if there any spots anyone knows of that are good for camping, killing stuff that drops credits.

Not 100% on this but "no trade - shared" means you can't trade the item but it's shared between your own characters so you can pass it between them.
You have to use them first to put them into your datapad then you can trade straight from your datapad to a trade window.

@@napyet I have No Trade Shared items like paintings, house storage increase and the Cloud City token and when I open the trade window with my other character it says "you can't trade said painting, token or storage increase". I also tried dropping it in a house that all 5 characters have admin permission and it says "you can't drop this here". Then I put them in an armoire and the other characters click on the armoire and it says "you can't access that container".
So it looks like to me that the "shared" tag is not functional anymore but they never removed it or can't due to code and every item is either "no trade" or "tradable". No in-betweens!
I just asked in chat if anyone wanted too buy some posters I found and players gave me tons of credits for free lol

@@sweetcorn1936 the game wasnt meant to be played above 60 fps its a early 2000s game, you will see little if any difference above 60 if not it might start causing issues
I want to play this game, but I got ripped off trying to buy the game on Ebay. Plus, I'm worried that getting the the emulation will put viruses on my computer. Do you have any advice?
There are many ways to get the game itself, but as far as legends giving you a virus it wont. I havent tried the other emulators though.
The game itself doesn't have viruses and isn't malware but there's no way to know if there are dodgy isos out there, there could be. They only other choice is a second hand copy of the disks.
Check SWG reddit pages, they uploaded the 3 CDs Isos on google drive, for free lol
And of course it all boils down to grinding.
As someone who is grinding every day at work, I have absolutely no intention of doing the Same in video games.
I am currently using a Commando in Katarn Armor on Emp side working on getting better late game armor anyone got any references about places that would be best to grind cash? I tried Dathomir and got wiped easily with my current set up.
Grinding the Gotals in the Rryatt Trail's Shadowed Lands is good for money. They drop lots of statted armor and jewelry and you get at least 1k for the kill. But unfortunately, as of late, there's a lot of macro bots camped in all 6 instances these days.
We all need to vote for making the Rryatt Trail a macro-free zone! 🤣🤣

You have to talk whit an admin in discord. Actually it’s really shitty really don’t know why they do that ...
@@presidentralph894 What is really stupid is that they don’t have a channel dedicated for that. A new player joins the server to get activated and isn’t actually sure who to contact. Took about an hour or so for my account to get activated and then I was able to get into the discord and start playing online.
I don't remember having to get it activated but I started playing 5 years ago so maybe it changed the last 2 years. I remember installing the game and launcher and creating a user name and pass.

How to make money? Easily? Catfishng. Make a cute entertainer. There was some guy on live that kept giving money to my ent, would buy crafted outfits for my ent to wear, and trying to cybz with me. It was hilarious.
