Great tutorial. I started playing when I was 10, and man the crafting went so over my head back then lmao. I remember trying to craft a lightsaber with literally the worst materials possible, and then wondered why it was less effective than my lower level one you get through the Class quests lmao.

I've read about class change as an option. Traders retain their level when changing to another type and combat classes level are interchangable as well. Most advise for budding crafters is to start with structurs and switch out at 90. If not too much of a hassle would love to see this done. Entertainers class stands on it's own.
Yep, that's what I did. Structures levels far faster than anything else. Probably information overload for a basics video like this though. I'm working on a levelling vid for crafters at the moment.
Napyet can you do a video on gathering materials please I'm completely new to SWG all together and I haven't touched on it but I would love to see the different ways at gathering materials such as metals and probs the best way to do them but great vid very helpful

crafting well requires clothing attachments (+1 crafting) so you can reach max 12 points (i believe) giving you like 2 extra experiments on a max crafting profession
Very helpful video. It seems like the crafting systems are largely unchanged from preCU/NGE, correct? I was never a crafter but it seems like the menus and mechanics are all the same, you just HAVE to do specific combinations with each character (both chef and tailor, both architect and shipwright, both armorsmith and weaponsmith, etc.) as opposed to being able to pick and choose. Crafting seems more essential for the emu since the bazaar is less extensive than live
Yeah, the mechanics of crafting are identical but several professions have been merged. Also, the lack of decay means what items are in demand are different. But most crafting professions have consumables and low level items that people need as they level so repeat business happens.
@@napyet cool good to know, didnt know about the lack of decay (is that nge or for the purpose of the emu?)
I'm not quite sure when decay was taken out of the game - might have been pre-NGE...

You never !ever! should throw all points at once into a line of experimentation. If you have an "amazing" success you waste 1-2 experimentation points. So the most efficient way is to put all but 3 points into the first experimentation round and from the second round fill experimentation points but always keep 2 slot empty until the last round. What you do at 08:45 on the ship mass is a mistake. You could have reached the max with a single point instead of 2 points and put the remaining point into hitpoints.

Hi Steve - the best way is to do a galaxy wide vendor search for the clothing/attachments. But resource quality matters much more than the stats on your suit - I'd start there.
@@napyet yes, I crafted with all green bars but the crafting stations I make come out as effectiveness -11.567 I still need to do more research I guess lol

The Ship or Architect paths both create items that are in demand - so that is personal choice. Which one interests you most? When it comes to artisan skill points those don't really matter once you specialise in either Ships or Architect - just make sure you have all the boxes for your chosen specialisation checked.

frosch pit is one of the better spots for afk farming. If u want ATK farming the anything that drops rare collections (chk swg codex) or important junk items or multistat clothing.
