- Lets cook a very simple and tasty recipe from Africa. We cook green unripe bananas (matoke) together with potatoes and boiled beef. Matoke is a variety of banana from a family of bananas known as East African Highland bananas. Matoke is sometimes referred to as plantains. Make sure to place the bananas in salted water immediately after peeling to avoid discoloration. Hope you will enjoy.
Ingredients:
Beef
Potatoes
Green bananas
Tomatoes
Coriander
Onions
Cooking oil
Chilly beef cube
Curry powder
Salt

Hello wow I love your recipe, just one question though, was it all done on high heat or do we regulate now and then??
Hello, cook on medium heat.
No green chilies? it looks yummy😊❤
Thank you.
Would have liked to add green/bell pepper and carrots.
When did you add the remaining coriander? Made this just now, very delicious, asante sana dada. Word of advise don’t take your dog on a long walk while this is simmering, almost ruined it.
@Fozz290 The remaining coriander was used for garnishing the meal in the platter; I saw the picture before the video started.
What’s the green thing?
Is it fine if you boil potatoes aside?
Yes
Does beef cubes and tomatoes go well?..add chicken instead..
Does it taste like potatoes?
I made yesterday in Canada, but the (green banana) matoke tasted like potatoes?
Hello, the taste should be different.
