Very Healthy recipe 😋😉
Wow! This reminds me of a green banana dish my nanny made for us when I was under 10 & often requested. I've always wondered what it was called or how it was made, , ironically, I've searched for green banana recopes in the last 3 years during my cooking quest & asked many people about it, it was a delicacy no one seem to know!. Yours looks more like what I remembered, though she sliced them into big chunks, cooked until tyere was no liquid & would have used different spices. I will try this in her memory ! Thanks so much, Syl

Nice flavours and still a nice bite to the Matoke.
You said they can be found but be sure to get the right ones. How do I know which green bananas are the right ones.? Is it something different from the Dole bananas you see in the regular supermarket?
It looks like they are called matoke, they are a type of banana. Unsure if you can use regular bananas :/
Check Asian or African shops. Matoke bananas are for cooking.
Are these regular green banana's like plantains that you can find at the supermarket?
Thank you for watching, these are green bananas not the regular plantains . Some supermarkets carry them , ethnic stores or farmer's markets.
can you use green plantain as well
The matooke that we have in Uganda look so different from these ones.
