I'm a motovlogger from Phoenix, Arizona! I've been riding motorcycles since 2015. My first motorcycle I learned how to ride on was a Suzuki GS500F. After taking a motorcycle safety course and finally gaining some confidence on the streets, I decided to purchase my second motorcycle. A Honda CBR600RR. I still own that motorcycle to this day! After some time passed I decided to add another motorcycle to the family. So I purchased a Yamaha FZ-07. That's another bike I still have to this day! Again, more time passed and guess what I did. I purchased my final bike, as of now. A Honda Grom!

Clearly, "Off duty" doesn't mean what you and those 1400 people, think it does. A cop is a cop every second they are employed by the city. They are legally obligated to act, and up hold the law whether they are "on duty" or not. Off duty pretty much just means, the officer is in their free time, but they are still obligated to police.
Technically, they aren't even suppose to drink alcohol. 100s if not 1000s of Cops have been fired and worse, for not intervening in a crime while "off duty". Also for having alcohol or other in their system while intervening "off duty"..
From the moment they swear the oath, until retirement or other wise, they are obligated to police at a moments notice, any time, any where.
These days policing is so far from what it's actually suppose to be its almost sickening. And don't get me wrong here, I'm not defending Commissioner Buff Stuff here, he was aggressive and rude, and police shouldn't act like that.
However this particular incident, notice the rider didn't show wtf he did to piss the guy off. Something tells me the anger was probably justified.

I have a pretty good idea how a decent interaction between a law enforcement officer and a private citizen should go, and this wasn’t it! Not knowing exactly what happened prior to getting stopped at the light we can only assume he got passed by the younger guy on the bike and clearly didn’t appreciate it. We asked "Officer Rodriguez? Yeah we talked to him already today." He got real quiet so we knew it was the cop we literally just talked to at the base of the mountain. @@OryXity Pretty sure they meant what they asked. "Police officers are hired to operate in certain geographic zones based on the department where they are employed." They weren't asking if he has the authority to act here. They were asking if this is even the area where he WOULD have authority if he were on the clock.
1st if your a cop your a cop it’s a license like your drivers license which means you can drive 24/7 they have powers 24/7 on
2nd on duty means time your working , off duty means your not. The powers in-trusted to you by the government. Do not end with your shift.
3rd if you’re a registered police officer in one town, you’re a police officer in your state possibly nation wide not exactly sure the technical details on that but just because you cross an imaginary line on a map does not mean a police officer from county a cannot arrest you from county B
