I flew OH-6’s during my 23 yrs in the Army, Huey’s and Cobras, but the Scouts is where I was happy. We could put them down anywhere, load them past gross and if it could get off the ground it was all good. Fast, vulnerable and durable. We even had a gunner with a 60 on a tether at times and were influential towards to production of the what was then called the AH-6 Little Bird. I miss those days.
Fantastic capture! May I feature this precise landing in one of my next episodes? Of course with a link back to your original video. All the best to you!
That's awesome! Would you be okay with me featuring this in my series Weekly Dose of Aviation? Of course you will be credited both in the video and in the description. Thanks!
Drops right onto the perfect touchdown point with no last-minute corrections... with limited visibility coming down vertically. Like the machine is part of the pilot. Had to laugh at the little cut-out to enable the operatives to load the torpedo tube. :) The cameraman is still waiting for collection - 4 years later.
Utterly Cool and Totally Schweet! 🖖😄🚁 One question, though... does the helicopter come back to pick up the camera operator, or are they getting a ride from another helicopter?

In industry, there is a thing called critical control point. Or CCP. It's any 1 thing that can shut the line down. It's also similar with some jobs. I got into maintenance. It's the one job in industry that is or was at least treated like this. I thought this is the kind of job I won't be the first one laid off. And good Sawyers are even more valuable. Not something you just pick up as a kid felling trees on the side of a mountain.
Die sich durchbiegende Plattform sieht nicht sehr vertrauenerweckend aus. The sagging platform does not look very confidence-inspiring. Auch ich würde den Motor nicht abstellen I wouldn't turn off the engine either

Another fine product of the Howard Hugh’s Corporation…. 👍🏻
the sound of the engine.. music to my ears! id see one of these painted black with US army markings on it on different occasions
There's a reason special forces and private military contractors love the little bird

that is just an awesome spot in nature!
Those have got to be the most stable craft. Every time you see some stuff like that it's a md.

No. He's still there.
Only one question where does one apply for this position as a faller? I would gladly go cut trees and be flown out.
Oh, I miss my MD 500 so much!
I know exactly how that feels. I can't stop missing my beloved 747.
Dream job. How awesome.
Perfect way to exfil from the forest.
Nice.

Is there a hole in the bottom of the pod for a hook for a long line?
You know you’re worth a lot of money when this is the ride that comes to get you at the end of the day.
