Yeah, I don't know where that sack the manager rhetoric is coming from. He's made errors but imo, the overwhelming majority of them were forced by the pressure of a weak squad with crucial players out for the season. We got really far for what it's worth. I hate looking in hindsight because the season's done, but I wonder what would've been without the shortage in personnel.
A Gill klopp barely spent anything his first season, he tried to get the best out of what he had like emery is doing now, he needs to sell deadwood then bring in someone who suits his style, sacking him now is a mistake because the next manager will come in and have to deal with the same players
I agree with Claude on most things but Emery deserves at least one more year. He has already said he will be getting rid of a lot of players and bringing new ones in, Claude said himself that he wants to get rid of everything and start again, and I believe Emery will do his best at that this summer because he has seen certain players are not good enough throughout the season. You can't expect a new manager to come in and make huge changes without having a season with the squad first to see what needs changing. Give him 1 more year and we can see how he is doing then.
