Iwobi should be played instead of Ozil. He has always said that his preferred position is 8 or 10. He is not a winger but yet, he has massively improved. Unai Emery is not at fault for last season in my opinion. It is the board. They don’t give him money and expect him to compete with teams that are fuelled by money.
For not qualifying for ucl. That's on Emery. He prioritize the Europa league instead of aiming to achieve both goals. We lost top 4 because of him. But I agree that the club needs to release funds cause 45mil isn't enough to strengthen the squad.

You know what. After watching the 1st 20mins I want Tierney. Reason being that he is from a team that is winning trophies in most of their competitions. This will instill a winning mentality in him. He will help us big-time.
In spite of all the losses away from home in the business end of the season (Wolves, Leicester, Everton), we STILL had THREE chances to qualify for the Champions League. Palace at home, Brighton at home and Chelsea in the Europa League.. Emery didn’t win any of those games.. And that is the bare minimum we asked for. He didn’t achieve his target, we don’t have a style of play, and we’ve stagnated or gotten worse in nearly every statistical measure that matters. Deserves criticism.

I know it’s gonna be very frustrating but you can’t sack the manager if he doesn’t get one summer where he’s properly backed.
You can say if he doesn’t get top 4 this season he deserves to get the sack but he’s already up against it by the fact that he has the worst team in the top 6 and will spend the least.
IMO it’s not fair to judge the manager if he gets given a limited budget and we can only judge him until he gets the financial backing.

FSG have spent money from the moment they came in. Not just on players too but big money on redeveloping Anfield and a new training ground is being completed. The other difference is Klopp has FULL control. No one picks signings for him. The recruitment team identify players and Klopp says yes or no. Or he himself identifies the players and the recruitment team go and try to get him.
We're not the same. Also we have more than a "handful" of world class players. Whether bought or made so by Klopp (though all players have been improved by Klopp) Alisson, VVD, Trent, Robbo, Fabinho, Salah Mane & Firmino are world class. With a few other VERY good players.
