Ah yes the classic blunder: forgetting to drop everything you're doing to purge skaven on first contact
Man sized rats? Impossible!
truth, either get a rock solid alliance or exterminatus. There is nothing in between with skaven and dawi
On a topic of rats, should I kill them on sight as Ku’gath in IM? Or friends?
I just started my draz hoath campaign, and I immediately attacked him. He had moved to attack the starting enemy settlement you get, so it was really easy to wipe his wounded army.
@Shmekel Freckles context is king, but as a general rule?
Skaven remain overpowered and obnoxious on campaign. Particularly if they get rolling and field higher tier stacks.
Unless I really, really have a worse threat, I stomp them out early.
As Kugath, their early units are a bother only in that they can run from you easily. You can soak their damage and wear them out.
Fight them later with gobadiers, ratling guns, mortars, and artillery? You're going to have a much harder go of it, especially your large units.
There's a reason people beeline to take out the nearest Skaven.
"Tretch is quite dangerous"
I swear it has to be the best compliment most-masterful-of-masters received in his life
To be fair, he is actually really scary depending on the match up. I find him way scarier than Queek. It really comes down to the fact that in exchange for somewhat less melee attack, Tretch has *way* better melee defense, which means he trades much better against most lords of similar mass and size as him.
Also, Tretch has a bit lower armor piercing damage; but has a bonus versus large, which makes him more competent to take on bigger lords than Queek, who is more of an anti-infantry lord.
“Lets Jump to the wall here”
Tretch: “yes-yes Legend sir-sir!!”
This might be the most entertaining defense I've seen you do. The moment when the blunderbusses got raked by the warpfire as they passed the corner was priceless.
This guy was in the middle of making a "rate my gnoblar doomstack" video when Tretch showed up.
Chorfs are one of my favourite Fall of the Samurai clans
Restoring ammo during seiges should be added to the game, its actually a fun feature.
It makes sense that fortified locations would have ammo stores
Would be easy to implement too
Just give Defender units that buff that Replenishes ammo when they're stood in the points
So as long as they're inside the circle they replenish ammo
@@gokublack8342 also makes sense they might explode
The ammo replenishment mechanic or whatever it is has helped me carry a lot of minor settlement sieges defenses, personally i think it should stay because it doesn´t make the fight necessarily easy but it gives you a chance to fight back
Remind me of the glorious day of Rome Total War when the enemy army just walk around your large walls, getting shots to death without a care in the world.
That ammo reload saved some battles that would have been otherwise lost. So glad to learned about that trick.
I saw that army at the start and was quite sure this won't be possible but you surprise me yet again :DDD
The fight here was such a glorious mess. Amazing, loved it.
Glad to see these disaster battles are back dude.
"It is facing the wrong way!"
Well,, yeah. They thought you will be defending from outside, not from the core part of the factory :D
29:31 I guess moving in and out of that barricade gives back ammo because of some passive ability that procs each time you move in and out of its range?
correct, barricades, and iirc other dockable areas give ranged units like, 15% more ammo? something like that, based on the base ammo of the unit
I'm always amazed at how quickly you say your channel name at the beginning of a video 😂
I replay it everytime
He got more resources for the battle from the tech tree

Love the content Legend!!
Good old legend video on the morning
Correct me if I'm wrong, but since CA changed garrisons so that the garrison starts with army already on the field, unchecking control large army is the strictly better option here, as it only affects Tretch since he's the only one who "gets" reinforcements.
I've tried unchecking control large army invading an army inside a garrison and the garrison still showed up, while I didn't get my reinforcements. It should work the same way (unless CA strikes again with the spaghetti code).
Man that first dread quake was disgusting, I almost feel bad for tretch*
*but I don't
Thanks for the video
I really hate how minor settlements are easier to defend than walled settlements. Here you only lose leadership and defense if you lose the keybuilding, but its not an actual loss. Where as in major settlements it starts a super fast clock
ya when i play as skarbrand, i ignore the entire army, leave my forces outside, and have skarbrand cap the point solo, winning that way. gets kinda boring.
That is how you know they imported programmers from 1812 france, they wished taking moscow as a major settlement would have been instant victory.
Laboruer doomstack to the rescue!
The new siege maps make sense now. That's one thing the chaos drawfs gave
GG!
Dreadquake Battery is overpowered
this vid could be an add for blunerbuster on the CD-TV news channel right befor the weather report
OMG thats pretty satisfied🤣
I tried to be friends with tretch in my most recent campaign. It went pretty well until he started spamming plagues to my entire empire. Then the dreadquakes had to come out
Engagement moment
Dreadquakes are against the Geneva convention
I want a tabletop map of this settlement to play actual Warhammer or 40k on.
I wanna see a proper comparison between a maxed skaven weapons team vs a chaos dwarf weapons team more and more now
TIL you can drag and drop to organise your units
If that tip helped, this might: Ctrl+G or tapping the little lock icon will force multi-unit selections to hold their shape. IE, a line of melee stays a line when you attack rather than blobbing onto the target.
this is total warhammer
Numbers don’t matter at choke points especially if you got enough gun powder
Since K'daii summons don't get the buffs of the war forge they're really only good for forcing a blob to drop dreadquakes and dooms of Hashut.
*headpats chaos midget* Daddy Everchosen likes the units you give him
😂
“SHOR- oh, you didn’t say short… your three hellcanons will be ready by tomorrow.”
@@alpharius2omegaboogaloo384 target 1, the elves, fuck the elves
hmmm after all this time didn't know bulwarks restored ammo. ugh.
How did you not lose siege on cap points?
Only major settlement sieges have capture points that tick down points when captured. Minor settlement sieges just require that you hold at least one point. This is one of the many reasons why Legend thinks that minor settlement sieges are easier to defend than major settlements.
Wait, your camera is restricted to a distance from your units on certain difficulties?
only on Legendary
很強ㄟ 傳奇😀
Barricades +range facing the wrong way are a plenty in new settlements, as I had the pleasure to experience already. Great for sneaky arrows in the back, tho. ;)
Any chance to continue you chorfs livestream?

Comment for the engagement throne, like for the algorithm god !
I know it’s on very hard difficulty but it will always be hilarious to me how so many AI Skaven units fight almost to the last rat. There have to be other ways to make the game more difficult instead of just giving everything Dwarf-level leadership.
I like some of the Chorf units for leadership. A single Infernal Guard standing there, his whole unit exterminated.
I'm assuming you don't trust the friendly AI
it takes more than 400 euros to fully buy total war warhammer
Goes on sale super cheap + 3rd party sites. I own all 3 games and most of the important dlc for way less.
Your point? It also has many years of features and content to go for that 400 euros.
hmm

yeah im first
I feel like CA tries to make each new DLC have more OP units and abilities than the last.
Sounds like gw so lore accurate then😅
