My 2015 is tuned to the edge of the stock short block and clutch. I just got into the 11s back in 2018. It’s a nice versatile car. Great for budding car enthusiasts. I broke an axle at the strip once.

You almost feel like Ford is deliberately leaving the 2.3 Ecoboost potential on the table in stock form to keep the 5.0 V8 the top dog of the Mustang.
Trades46 just like they did to the v6 before they got rid of it.
Same reason they are starting to make more efficient V8's for trucks and there Performance vehicles.
Why dump money into Ecoboost when v8 can do it better without TT?
Don't get me wrong it's a little monster of a motor but it just ain't a V8.

Do you have full exhaust? Headers mid pipe and catback? How much did you gain from it with the tune?
This is the first time i've ever considered buying a turbo 4 banger lol nice times running consistent high 12's/low 13's in a car that weighs 3500 lbs.

So it all really cost you under $2k to get a car with about the same hp as a gt? Considering you didn’t have to upgrade turbo or anything else that’s super cheap, and still getting over 20 mpg which is a lot better than the gt

Love to see the under $2k mods. Did you do the mods yourself? Im curious on tuning to but I really dont understand it completely. If I were to get a tune how does that effect the drive modes. When its raining and the roads are bad I keep my car in the basic mode. When i wanna cruise around I put her in sport. Id like to be able to continue doing that but ive not found any info on my questions.
According to track apps My best 1/4 mile is a 12.6 at 111. 2021 premium 10 spd auto on 93 octane. I know track apps isn’t the most accurate thing and is actually a bit slower than what it is on a drag strip so I feel like I could be slightly faster seeing as how My best 0-100mph is exactly 10.0 which aligns with a mustang gt just about. My mods are 275/35/zr19 continental all season square setup with 19x9.5 wheels, araid full intake kit, cvfab street Intercooler with charge pipes, turbosmart bov, cvfab catted downpipe, mbrp race exhaust, and ngk iridium colder plugs

Some idiots said that Ford was "risking controversy" by ditching the V6 for the 2.3L Ecoboost 4 cylinder. Ditching the unloved and no aftermarket support 300 HP/270 TQ V6 for the 310 HP/320 TQ turbo 4 cylinder Ecoboost . Wasn't controversial at all. It was a no brainer that both the bean counters and the car guys at Ford could agree on. Now ALL Mustangs are NOW in fact "performance cars" whatever the trim level or engine option.Esp. now when Ford offers the PP1 and PP2 suspension packages on the 2.3L EcoBoost Stangs Being that the Ecoboot has an MSRP of $26,400 within the budget of young carbuyer/enthusiasts and can be easily tuned up to 500 HP with a change of the turbocharger.
The controversy would have been boosting the V6 to turbo and beating a V8.

I had wastegate actuator and atm intercooler tuned on e30 on my manual eco never broke a 13.0 even with a 1.9 60ft

Nice ET but you're going to LOVE the GT. The Coyote motor is well worth the extra money, even just cruising around and easing into the throttle, listening to it slowly rev, it's a beautiful engine. Still respect the Ecoboost Mustang, but it just isn't the same car without that V8, the experience is TOTALLY different. Congrats again on your 2018 GT. I heard there is a delay in production, maybe it's only affecting Canadian dealerships though?
yes I heard there is some delay regarding US crash test government regulations and once it gets the ok they are good to go, problem is the Govs drag their feet
You'd be crazy to get a S550 Mustang without the ecoboost motor in it. Has to be one of the best daily drivers after bolt on's.

Any mods you do to the ecoboost to equal the stock coyote is voided because the same mods to the coyote would blow it and most other cars out of the window. I could build a Civic that will outrun an Aventador, but I can promise you that it doesn't make it a better car, or equal for that matter.

The Fitness Life probably quite a few. Ford's 6R80 proved what an auto could do and handle in like 2010. I'm sure the 10 speed is a big improvement over that.

Around 500 at the wheels it depends on the day and traction and my drive dont work only manual mode does its a bad sensor thats a pain to replace so it depends on if i shift right before 6700 witch is my limiter i just pull up the digital and watch for 66 to shift and thats how i git a mid to high11 so i garentee you could make it to the 11s

You forgot one that would help you get a lower time. I'm not sure your elevation. but the closer you are to sea level, the better your time should will be. I'm not sure where you from, but if you up high, try and find a lower track and try it again. Those 4 banger mustangs must launch pretty well, with little wheel spin? Seems like a decent trap and impressive time for what it is :)

Yeah, they're comparing ecoboost Glory runs (best runs possible) to shitty runs in a GT. A Glory run in a GT is high 11s. They need to stop fooling themselves thinking their car is as fast as a GT.
Maybe big turbo e85 and slicks I could see a driver mod get it into the 11s my civic all motor 1.8 liter runs consist 12.5s a best of 12.3@117 probably costed 4 times less to build too...

107 MPH trap? Nope, Mustang GT is still much faster. Heck, my supercharged Tahoe is almost that fast on 7 psi and a bad tune. Good job though, I am looking at purchasing one of these as a winter car and the performance level you have achieved will be fine for that.

EcoBeast google search Lebanon ford performance. Or 727 Mustang Lebanon. I purchased my new 2017 GT from them and they put their hellion twin turbo kit and much more on it. They do it from the dealer’s performance shop!!!! If you supercharge instead of twin turbo like I did you still get a warranty. I just love turbo sound and how you can get infinite power practically hahah. Love my car!!!!
