Larissa Liveir vs Tina Setkic.
There are many talented female guitar players. Two of them are Larissa Liveir and Tina Setkic. Both of these musicians have thir own character in playing the guitar. Tina is more attractive when playing a song while Larissa is more calm but both are pleasant to hear. Besides that, when showing their abilities on CZcams, the appearance of the two is veri different. In each of her videos, Tina appears as she is with closed clothes, while Larissa emphasizes more open clothes. Their styles are also different where Tina lookks more serious while Larissa looks relaxed accompanied by her charming smile. We can see that when the two of them cover Pink Floyd work, "Comfortably Numb".

Tina S plays guitar in an effortless, manner. Her technique and skill is at the very top level. She not only plays at ‘the next level’ she IS the TOP level! All other up and coming and even established female guitarists are compared to her because she is the gold standard. She is just herself and her guitar and her phenomenal playing and that speaks volumes. She doesn’t need the scantily dressed half naked’look’ with a lot of sexual undertones and cleavage for days to help ‘increase’ her playing ability or to distract from any shortcomings and mistakes while she plays. She has no shortcomings nor mistakes, her playing is flawless. She doesn’t need sexy clothes etc to ‘sell’ her ability. Just give her her guitar and thats all she needs to create her guitar magic.

Where are the videos of Larissa playing Moonlight Sonata 3rd Movement, For The Love of God, or Jason Beckers Altitude? How can they compare when clearly is nothing to compare?
No doubt, Larissa is easier to look at but Tina's version is on a complete level unsurpassed.

I agree with you. I think Tina plays with ecstatic energy and I like that. I miss her. Wish she would come back. I’ve followed her music for a few years and keep watching her performances, over and over again. But whatever she is doing now, I hope she is happy and don’t have any regrets.

Also, when you are trying to copy Pink Floyd 's conversational style solo, you have to be more attentive to Legato and Staccato tones.
Legato is when you strike a note and let it ring.
Staccato is when you strike a note and shorten it's duration by letting up on your finger pressure on the fret, or by muting it in some way.
Everyone who is new at guitar starts off doing Legato because it's easier. But in faster solos, you don't want each note ringing out over the other notes, but Staccato takes time to develop, and hand strength, timing, coordination etc.
Larissa also needs to learn vibrato, which is striking a note and moving your finger up and down quickly to give give the note some more quality.
Then there is "attack" or how you approach a note, slide up or down to reach the note or strike a lower note and bend up to the note you really wanted. Pre - bends are where you bend the string up before striking , then slowly let up on the bend to get down to the note you meant to play.
All this takes time, or being gifted from the start.
The video shows that Tina is better at these important qualities. Thanks! 😊
@@bobr4987 Tina learned to play by notes from an early age, and it shows. I have never seen anyone play as many bendings (up or down) as she does. She plays several notes at once, and her vibrato is so intense. Especially for, for the love of God and Altitudes. She is a master.

Larissa is good but her smiling through the piece betrays the dramatic and sad feeling of actually being comfortably numb.

Both are talented guitar players but on a scale of 1-10 Larissa is a 6 and Tina is a 12. Very little comparison to the two as far as talent goes. Tina wins. 👍

Tina is an another planet from her .Tina is a lagent . She is much much better .
On just guitar prowess, they are both pretty even. Tina has a more hard edge rock sound (some shred too) while Larissa has no shred but a cool, clean style. For this Pink Floyd song, Larissa is closer to the David Gilmour style. If I had to go with stage presence, then Larissa has the obvious edge with her gifted looks.
As for guitar playing, Tina S wins hands down! For looks Larissa! But seriously, they both play their own interpretations of the song, and BOTH are pleasant to the ear
