Dive into an eventful race day with me in the iRacing Porsche Cup series at the intricate Circuit Zolder. As the number 4 car, I had high hopes heading into qualifying, but a costly mistake on my second lap led to an off-track penalty right at the crucial moment. This error dropped me to a starting position of 9th on the grid, setting the stage for a challenging race ahead.
The start of the race was anything but smooth. Struggling to find my rhythm, I repeatedly overdrove into the second chicane, a notorious spot that demands precision and control. These early laps were marred by multiple off-tracks, particularly at the second corner of the chicane, which threw off my pace and focus.
However, as the race progressed, I began to settle into a better flow. Gradually adjusting to the track's demands and learning from my earlier missteps, I started to claw back some of the lost ground. The latter part of the race showcased a more composed drive, as I worked to salvage what I could from a rough start.
