just a bit correction for mr alex, pre islamic belief in Terengganu mostly animistic and not hindhu, the Buddhist and Hindu influence during pre-islamic usually present in kelantan northwards and the west cost of malay peninsular

@@asmrnaturecat984 It is a mixture of both. Hindu mix with animistic. Just like Islamic practices still mixed with animistic and Hinduism after that. The natural practices - animistic - always influenced the one that have interest to keep it alive, like shamans or bomohs. They try to keep it alive due to their earnings depending on it by way of people giving them stuffs for doing protection ceremonies/rituals. But probably at that time it is true that the hinduism-buddhism did not influenced the sacrificial ceremonies of giving the blood to beaches. It is purely animistic. When people embraced Buddhism and/or Hinduism, some people think the animistic practices are due to Buddhism or Hinduism. Bali people are said to practise Hinduism but many of their practices have the element of animistic in it.

My childhood neighbours are Malay villagers...they live sthg like that.............so, of course tourists hardly see... But nowadays, i drive to kampungs to relax and enjoy, eat the kampung chicken, etc hahas...Thanks for sharing ! BTW, ask the locals in Trengganu...if there will be a boatload of fishermen returning from sea using the colourful traditional boat. The boat will be pushed/pulled up to the sandy beach by sand. Loaded with all kinds of catches just below the deck....and the whole kampung will rush down to help unload. I saw that once, and you would be making a most fantastic video on that if u have a chance. But i guess u might not...since we are so close to monsoon already.

Yeah!! Good for you.. the thinner the better but mine are bigger too.. haha. Gula melaka is much healthier than white sugar. Used it in traditional drink (for women) too. Before id didn't know how it made. Thank you for showing it to me :)

Have you visit Losong Museum? It was a large museum in South East Asia and quite unique. I love go there because of traditional buildings and nice kampung view. When I got married i brought my husband to there and my husband from Selangor. Dia tak minat tapi dia follow jela isteri dia ni.. 😂
