The Penn State Blue Band is a critical component to what college football fans call the greatest atmosphere in the country. A night game white out at Beaver Stadium with 110,000 fans makes an unforgettable experience for the football players, fans and members of the band. It's the Blue Band's pregame entrance that sets the tone for the entire game. The College Marching team joins the Blue Band for rehearsal and the 2018 White Out game in the second episode of the documentary series, "TAKE THE FIELD: The College Marching Experience".

By far the best of the TAKE THE FIELD episodes. The atmosphere of a White Out is unparalleled. Along with the fact that Penn State's pregame where they come out of the tunnel like that is so effing awesome and pretty unique. Other bands start at the end of the field and march down, or on the side and march in...
This documentary is incredible!! It perfectly captures the emotion of performing at the White Out! :) We Are!

this year will be my first year in the blue band. band camp has just finished and i'm feeling so sore and tired but god, watching this makes me so excited for what's to come up. penn state forever
Seeing the Blue Band evolve over the years has been fun to watch. Bringing Seven Nation to the college field and adding it's own twist to the song. Along with Neck, The Skin I'm In, Gladiator, Money Chant. They def know the songs that are unique and often copied.
I knew nothing about the Penn State "whiteout" game or the Blue Band participation. Oh my gosh. Great video. Great band. Great energy.
We sat beside the Blue Band at the Fiesta Bowl with Miami for our National Championship game. WOW!! Certainly made the game more fun.
This video brought tears to my eyes. I pray my son, a high school junior, will get into Penn State and be a part of this awesome band!!! And Gregory Drane, what a leader, I hope he stays at PSU. My son his hungry to follow an inspriational leader like him.

I am back to watch this video. I feel like I'm a part of Penn State band after watching this video.
Brings back the memories of being in the Blue Band back in the early '80s and the combination of angst and rush marching out of the tunnel for pregame for the first time and performing for the largest audience I had ever done up to that time. The Sugar Bowl victory over Georgia would ultimately be the biggest audience, though most of them were watching on TV. They didn't show the fireman song in the tunnel. Does the Blue Band still do that pregame? I suppose not.

NCAA Marching band and Pep band gives me all pump up something like Rutgers or North Carolina Army or any College I think of
The preparation/rehearsal looked to be exhausting... and the end result was just great.

I just hope when Auburn plays them in 21’ it’s a white out night game. And Auburn takes the whole band, I would love to get to experience this
