  • Allagash Railway's North Rumford-Madrid Turn job works at White Mountain Jct., picking up a single paper load from the Georgia Pacific mill at Berry Mills. The train crosses the Sandy River, then is pictured at Madrid Yard. The return trip features the pair of Maine Central Geeps in late afternoon light at Sandy River, then setting out at White Mountain Junction, before heading south on the White Mountain Branch with work at Andover, East Andover and then back home at North Rumford.

Incredible! I needed to realize that it's impossible to watch original Maine Central footage in such resolution to understand that I.m watching a layout!

I have to say that this is by far the best layout I have seen in my modeling life. Everything about it is an amazing example of doing things the right way! I find myself watching your videos, and others who filmed your layout, over and over for inspiration and entertainment. I RARELY comment on anything but felt compelled to do so! The little details, the weathering, the sounds....everything are incredible. I would love to see your layout in person one day to truly take it all in. Very well done!!!

This IS the whole package from the depth of field video to the "aged" snow pile to the tie in to the photo backdrop. The art of model railroading is shown here. Well Done.

Watching videos of this railroad yesterday caused me to start ripping out the center section of my layout, 105 square feet 😮. My wife said I’m not allowed to watch your videos anymore 😅

AGR: Among the best of the best "total effect" modeling taking place in the entire modeling community at this time. When I see pics of the layout and equipment, there are always elements I see and want to learn how to do when I view your work. Definitely causing me to rethink my approach to the hobby.

His color palette; how he adheres to it, and how he applies it is one of biggest contributors to this masterful work. Watch this video and try to look at nothing other than individual colors and how they blend and flow between scenes. He is unbelievably gifted in this field.

I just love the dry dead leaves on the slopes. The rock surfaces are unbelievable. The trees are the very best in the hobby.

Absolutely love it, by far one of the most realistic layouts I have ever seen, it's all there. The feel, the visual effect, sounds, and speed. I love the wet look too. For some reason the weather on this layout looks as if it has just stopped raining and it is a cool crisp 46 degrees outside on a cloudy day.

How come you dont have plows on your locos? Details west has good plow kits. Im from the Pacific Northwest and all our locos have a plow we dont get much snow.
