  • This documentary is intended to provide information about the California State University at Channel Island's initial rationale for informing the Condors that they were to "...remove the Club's property (from the site)." Some weeks later a report by the University Fire Marshall was added to facilitate their initial intention; closing down the Condors Airpark and Pond Rats R/C Boat Pond. Both of these well known and nationally recognized recreation sites are and always have been independently funded Ventura County Recreation Facilities; they cost the Ventura County taxpayers absolutely nothing. Since the land was recently gifted to the University by Ventura County, the University's plans to close them in favor of some "thing" the University was unable to define but which they call "Passive Recreation," has been put into motion. Both the Condors' Airpark and the Pond Rats R/C Boat Pond, which are presently closed, have been successfully operated at those locations for over 25 years.
Our apology to Condors' President Bill Schatz. Somehow the "c" in his name got lost in his lower third. Sorry Mr. Bill. We'll catch that "c" in the next version.
