  • Lychee Slicer 6.2 Major update, printers, fixes, and fast slicing 😊
The new Lychee Library is also coming, I did not mention it, as it is not there yet. They are promising over 1,000 sculpts and instant access to slice and print. This is a great way to expand your collections, so stay tuned for more on that as it develops.
I could not figure out how to setup a counter, but here are the slice times.
    Magic Dice
    Regular Slice times
    4:49 to 5:37
    total time 48 seconds
    Magic Dice
    x10 Fast Slicing
    6:02 to 6:19
    total time 17 seconds
    Mimic
    Regular Slice times
    6:55 to 9:08
total time 2 mins and 13 seconds
    Mimic
    x10 Fast Slicing
    9:21 to 10:11
total time 50 seconds (I was so close)
Oh and overall I forgot to mention, I felt like after this update Lychee has been running a bit slower overall, but I am taking note of all of the bugs and performance issues. If you find any issues with the new 6.2.0 update please submit a bug report to Lychee.

I experienced the stuttering since I started using lychee 2 years ago. I just accepted it as the price of doing business. Would be great if there's a fix for it though 😂

Thanks for the video. I have a mac mini with 32gb memory and always have a lag when slicing in Lychee Pro. The fast slicing looks amazing. Where can I find the beta for this?

My prints come out mirror, and I can't correct that mistake, I always have to mirror each piece before slicing. 6.2 Issues

I just got 6.2 update and I do not see an option to add bracing to my supports. Where did they go?

The new version 6. includes a NEW grid support system. Go to prepare, support and then look for "Structure" on the menu on the right.

Hello I just came across your channel not too long ago and I absolutely love the fact that you simplify things! I’m new to 3D printing, chitubox is not working for me in a simplicity way. I was wondering what you recommend for me to use lychee free or the pro version? Oh I’ll be running the program on macOS and my printer is elegoo Saturn 4 ultra if that helps? I greatly appreciate your time and advice.

Lychee PRO is great and I recommend it for all users. The FREE edition is fine, but it is missing some tools.

    • @IPrint3dMinis
      @IPrint3dMinis  Před 26 dny +1

As far as the printer Lychee supports that one, so you are good there. Mac OS should be able to run the newest version as well which has Grid support, and a ton of great tools.

Okay, i guess I just never paid that much attention to the slicing, at the end that is the last thing I do and I usually go through each slice prior to slicing anyway, so I don't sit and watch too often.

Report the bug to Mango, they will look into. They might ask for LYS scene file that causes the issue, but if it is every time might be an install problem. Perhaps try removing it, and reinstalling the software.

@@hundsboog Of course, love to help. Lychee is great but I have heard a lot of folks struggle with it, performance, bugs, etc. you are not alone, I too have issues with it quite a lot. But when I consider the alternative of using Chitubox, I would rather deal with bugs.

@@hundsboog Lol, totally. They always respond to me, so I am sure you will get a response back. Maybe instead of directly slicing in Lychee, export as an STL fully supported and just slice using a different slicer. Could be a good work around for now.
