This is what we want more of. This was awesome. Less gear reviews, more tutorials on how to use what we already have.
Yes almost ren year's and people still use the cinematic on their CZcams videos as click 🪤...it's not cinematic it's far from cinematic....is just another iPhone video with some tweak's in colours that make it look better. Nothing more 😐 oh my god...
If you want to be creative or you want to be realistic and understand the cinema definition...start to accept and understand what is what...
@@kostashalabalakis4352 What are you? The judge of what "cinematic" means? Meaning of a word shifts all the time. Don't be like a lonely old guy shouting at his new neighbor.
@@beiyongzui i love your way of thinking
Full Time Filmmaker provides more for free than any other paid service. I could imagine how many tips they provide in their paid services. That's Great, thank you!
It's insane. They go into every imaginable detail in ftf
just bought an iPhone and always tried to learn HOW to make better videos with what i have..no add ons, just better ways to improve the video quality. this video is awesome, thanks man!
Fourth step: buy an iphone 15 pro max
😂😂
With a Terabyte of storage for all the storage needed to shoot in RAW
will it work for iphone 11
😅
I do this on a regular android phone. The filming techniques and colour grading is where it's at.
It's just that if your device can't shoot well in the night or evenings, you'll have to do that in the daytime.
You really didn’t say anything entirely groundbreaking. But holy hell, when you put them all together it makes such a big difference. Very impressive, great video.
This is probably the best and well balanced tutorial on CZcams to date. Enough technical information to be informative, but not getting into heavy details to deter the audience. Kudos for doing such a great job!
Walt and Tim Apple is applauding 👏 amazing results Landon
As a 15 Pro guy. What I learnt from this is - Editing. That’s where it’s all at.
I constantly shoot in normal mode with all the usual stuff but I never use Davinci Resolve.
Looks like I’m going to have a good six months learning. Thanks a lot man. 😊
I’m surprised you didn’t use / suggest the blackmagic camera app for the capture section. It lets you shot the log colour , but save it in h.264/5 formats greatly reducing the file size, and means you can save a lot more footage on the phone without worry of running out of space.
Absolutely. The approach on this was to shoot with no accessories and directly in the native camera app, but the BlackMagic app is great!
@@fulltimefilmmaker I understood this point while watching this video, this is what made the video great, thanks!
Out of the hundreds of these exact types of videos on CZcams, yours is one of the only that are worthwhile. Genuinely good to watch even if I know most of the stuff in here
The emotions conveyed in the cinematic sequence , really touches the heart. Bravo
Really good quality of video!
Hope to see you in the next one!
Good luck in your journey!
So good. It looks and feels incredible. Thank you so much for sharing this.
Thank you so much for the free assets. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Bro loved it! Best video I’ve seen all year haha, nice work man
Absolutely amazing, Landon. Keep going!
Love this ❤- Course will be ordered and thank you
I'm so glad you talked about motivated camera movement. Thanks for the video, it's been super helpful!
Love it! Can't wait make memories with my 15PM as well.
(Just bought it) Thanks for the tips! 🥰
I'm planning on getting a 15 pro, and wanted to start vlogging like a movie. This is what I needed. Love the way this video was edited
Wow, this is what I needed! I was sitting here trying to asses what I need to do to take my videos to the next level and your video came across my timeline. Thank you, thank you, thank you! SUBSCRIBED!
Very good Landon . Your CZcams videos are getting better
This is brilliant, I've been searching for something like this for ages, thank you
Great video. Have barely used my Sony a7iii since getting the iphone 15 pro. I do love using Cinematic mode when I have subjects though. I switched to FCPX and the ability to switch focus during edits is great.
first time I'm watching you, you deserve subscribe, I love you for this, thanks
I am glad Landon says the same thing about 4K 30fps. I feel the same, 24fps just feels choppy to me.
subbed just for this type of content: making magic with simple things
Thanks for useful information! Have a nice day!
Man... you've got an alive little action figure of yourself, Landon!
Ah... nice content! Thank you!
Full time filmmaker awesome❤
Don't stop🥺
Dude, amazing video! Thank you!
It’s crazy to think my iPhone 15 pro is capable of such video quality 🌌
This insights are just the incredibly valuable 😲
Nice to see your ears in full detail, as the focus point is there...
Can’t believe this tutorial is free. Thank you!
Great info and video, cheers for sharing it! Stay safe, have fun! 👍😁
Thanx! Such a good masterclass
Love what you are doing with the channel bro! And I really appreciate that 30 FPS tip because 24 was not working on the iPhone
Best breakdown. Definitely would watch a series on this topic. Thank you sm!
Thank you for this info. I can use it at Disney since we go often me and my wife. Great filing tips..
Great job! Thank-you!!
Landon, you are a MAGICIAN! Sheesh 🔥
This s the best tutorial shot on iphone, thanks Landon.. I’ll save anyway
Another great video! Loved it!
This is really helpful. I was just in Disney World and mostly used my phone because it’s a pain to pull out the big camera every time. It’s so nice to watch practical videos like this, because sometimes the only camera you have is the phone in your pocket.
My regrets from my last trip though was doing 4k 24fps…the footage is so jittery. So frustrating. As well, I don’t know if my phone is glitchy, or what, but sometimes I find that it wants to switch which lens it is using…I don’t know if anyone else has run into that problem, or if it’s just me. Also, if anyone knows how to stop the light reflections from ruining all the night shots, that would be great! Anyways, thanks again for the video! It’s really helpful.
Yeah this is fire ngl
I live for these
thank you, such a good insight !
Thank you for the important info
This was simple and informative for us video ameteurs, great work! 🙏🏼
This is so amazing, I really thought you were using an ND filter for your iPhone to get that smooth feel of the video.
super good
That Intro gave me all kinds of feelings. Incredible stuff, Landon!
Thank you for your tips!!!
Thankyouuu so much for the free assett
thanks for telling about Halation !
adding motion blur is truly the secret sauce! But you can actually do it already in the Davinci Color tab - there is is an effect called Motion Blur and if you play with it a little bit, it works just as good in my opinion! great video btw
Thanks for sharing.. great video
Okay i must say this iphone footage looks good, but you can't put a 30fps Clip in to a 24 fps timeline without reducing the speet to 80% cause the framrates dosen't match and you can acually see it in your video you got some Lagging it's because every 1.25 frame get processed wich means there will be on frame in probably a second that get processed twice so you see it longer than the ohter frames and that causes the lagging
Thanks for the info!
Never thought of it but makes sense
So it’s better to record in 24fps?
@@syahss8630 yes if you have 24p timeline you should record in 24fps or for slow mo 48/96 ect. The same with 25p and 30p this produces the best looking image
Glad I'm not the only one who noticed. Pretty basic stuff tbh, seems nobody has eyes anymore.
@@fabrizioroscini Yes, it's true, for example in a 3D cinema, when you take off the 3D glasses, everyone says it's blurry without the glasses, but you only see two images at the same time because the two different images for each eye are not polarized , so you can see them with both eyes, so it's like you're drunk, but I don't understand why people can't see that there are only two pictures and nothing is blurry
Great video. Thanks for sharing
That RSMB is quite an eye-opener
That photo at 7:03 cracked me up.
Astonishing intro 😍😍
great tutorial, and wonderful vids and pics of Disneyland!
That's some of the best iPhone footage I've seen! Killer job with the edit 🙌
Great video
Thank you I love this world
Incredible video
Great tips my friend! I am recently using Black Magic camera App along with your recommendation. Video Looks good 😊
best video , since last month
thank you so much
such a cool video!
Nice Video, for those that can't afford RSMB, there's a Motion Blur Simulation inside Davinci, might not be as good but it works and it's waaaay faster.
Great video. Keep it on.
Thank you
Can you do a video of editing behind the scenes? Those videos help alot.
Nice video❤ For me the most important thing is the lack of sharpening in the pro res. I have regular iPhone and can't turn it off. It's just ridiculous that they didn't put that in the settings because let's be honest shooting on pro res isn't a requirement for the sharpening to be turned off but they made it this way to lure people to buy more expensive device but still it's ridiculous because even if you have pro version you'd want to turned it off without recording in heavy pro res. With sharpening image looks shite. Especially frustrating when raws from that camera look great
It's amazing to be able to have good, editable footage from Iphones finally. Once they make the ultra wide the same quality as the main camera.....it's gonna be really amazing.
Seems like an ND filter is totally necessary though.
Incredible
Very impressive!
INCREDIBLE RESULTS
this is amazing😇😇
What a class!
Great video Brother
You are the best my g
Great vídeo!! Thank you for sharing all the info! But why did you shot with Blackmagic app?.. I think it is so much easier to get all settings under control..Thank you!
So cool

You doing so great!! Nice work!
Literally a usefull video except other iphone filming videos
wow this video really resonates with me. I too, took a trip to disneyland, but california adventure. I find it interesting that you didn't mention a portable ssd, in order to unlocking that 4k 60fps video quality. I use a a usb c adapter with a magnetic ring that i stuck on the back of my samsung ssd t7 for my iphone 15 pro max. I recommend black magic camera app too! These are great tips! but my video certainly wasn't as beautiful as yours and I'm shy to post it lol
Great video. Your kids look like they had a blast. So nice to see them skipping and jumping while they move around, so much excitement. I was just at Disney World and could have benefited from watching this before... sigh. Next time.
Although all of this is amazing... your framerate control is the shining example of good editing here
Wow…. Great video🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
NICE VIDEO 😍
This is good
THX...
great video, thanks for sharing,oh can i have your project timeline for me to learn the color grading process btw?
Request:
Can you make a video how to get most out of Moment Pro Camera app on iPhone, please.
I'd really appreciate that.
