I can’t find these studies he says about the results of working from home. At all. But regardless of that working from home is practically the single best way to increase morale and productivity. Of course you can’t weld from home so sometimes you gotta work from work

I've worked from home since 2017. I work 45 hour weeks unless there's something very urgent, and I've received pay raises and promotions. Love Dave, but his perspective on work from home doesn't apply for people who don't gain anything from going to a big building downtown.
Also, most people are fully capable of having in person contact with people outside the workplace. And if I really need to talk with a coworker in person, I can call them and arrange a coffee.
If you happen to own a bunch of real estate, having buildings occupied is good when it's time to renew leases 🤷‍♂️

His point isn't that you can't work from home it's that you either overwork or underwork because you live at work and work where you live. I think he understands that sure there are people that can work from home, but when you manage a thousand people you cant just think about Allan A who works hard and attends meetings on a regular basis to keep in touch, you have to think about Tommy J who thinks he can play mobile games and work simultaneously and Jasmine B who thinks that she doesn't need a person to watch her three years old because she is at home already even though she is completely distracted from one task or the other. Sure maybe you can do it, but most people either overwork or underwork and try to pull slick moves. You might be an outlier. I've seen my Mother in Law do it. It'll be the middle of the work day and she will be out in the garden. It's none of my business so I don't say anything, but yeah not everyone is the same.

@@djg4653You know who else knows about working room home? Small business owners who can’t afford to rent a building they don’t need. Remote work is more entrepreneurial. The factory model of business is only needed for factories.

@@vaportrails7943you're talking to someone who has taken a company from his bedroom to half a million revenue (180k profit) this year, and growing at about 100%/year and last year I did 10x the sales of before I had a team and a facility. Trust me your team matters if you want to move your company. My team will serve 15,000 people this year and all 7 of us all work at work. I'm not saying you need to go rent an office building, but if you have a team you need to see the overwhelming majority of them in person on a regular basis. I could not grow a B2C business remote. I have hired remote workers before and the productivity was shit compared to what my team does because my team can just tap my shoulder and I'll help. A remote worker may be working at odd hours, or not be able to reach you as quickly. This was for social media moderation, and the person who does it now at work is so much better because they aren't distracted.
I am a small business owner who has worked out of his house. You don't need remote work especially if you literally don't even have an employee. But hey prove me wrong, do it your way, wish you luck.
Side note: work from home can incentivize bad habits because it's much harder to catch mistakes in WFH positions

Dave is great at what he does and I learn from him every time I listen, but I don’t agree with him 💯 on everything. The beauty of being mature enough to respectfully disagree with someone on a few things and still benefit from their decades of wisdom and knowledge.

I Used To Believe That Working From Home Was A Fantasy And That It Couldn't Be Done. Then I Had To Do It, And So Did Everyone Else. Production And Record Profits Rolled In, Just Look At The Markets/Industries Of Your Choice. Companies Have Never Been So Profitable, Ever.
Forcing People To Return To The Office Is A CEO With Control Issues, They Just Need To See Their Employees At A Cubicle/Office.
When I Need To Speak With Someone I Just Pickup My Phone. And Oh Yea, Rumors And Gossip Are Virtually Nil When People Aren't Buzzing Around A Coffee Pot Or In A Break Room.
If You Don't Trust Your Employees To Do The Work, Then Why Did You Hire Them In The First Place?

Why are you mad lol. Stop watching the show if you think you are leading via text message and Skype. Because you aren't and if you are just some boss on the Internet trust me your employees will not give a shit about you. It's hard enough to find people who care in person.
