The games aren’t cheap at all. Even if they are sometimes cheaper than the ps5 and Xbox games, they almost never get their prices dropped whereas playstation and Xbox have sales pretty often. But other than that, it is definitely a great console.( Incredible exclusives )

@@zach99999 there is nothing more dull than the lack of an art style in generation 9 games. They all use the same claymation looking smooth skinned (realistic) animation style, no art involved. The only exceptions are continuing ip’s from the ps2 and earlier. Even some of those have devolved, like final fantasy.

I disagree with the point that games are cheaper. On release you are right, but nintento games are the most price consistent games on the market. They are rarely on sale and if they are not they still cost 60 bucks even if the game is 5 years old.

Nintendo needs to reevaluate what they're doing with their pricing, whether they continue to consistently price their games the same for years on end, or whether they're willing to adapt to a similar pricing model as Sony and Xbox. Because that's something that may hold them back from customers in the next few years. "Why would I wanna pay more for a game on inferior hardware?", will be a much more common question. It sucks, but it's true. I've found that as much as I hate shopping at Wal-Mart the Nintendo games are always around $10 cheaper than on the store. Love my Switch, but I'm most definitely happy with the big sales I get on my PS5, and obviously Steam always has awesome sales going on.

I have both PS5 & Switch OLED. I think it’s one of the best setups you can have. PS5 has better exclusives than XB and I think for the first time since their inception, PS has the better overall controller than Series X/S. My Switch is reserved exclusively for Nintendo exclusives/third party exclusives (i.e. MHS 2, Bravely Default 2, etc.) and indies.

I always had the newest released systems and my cousins are now shocked at the fact I don’t own a PS5, that’s because I’m positive a slim version will be made and until then I am happy with my PS4 slim and my beautiful Nintendo Switch OLED
i think buying a steam deck for 50 dollars more and spending 65 dollars on a 512GB memory card (which is the price of a single switch game) to put your dirt cheap steam games on there, or any games for that matter since this thing is just a pc that doesnt work with some anticheats, you'll be able to emulate the switch itself and any other console out there ( except the ps3, ps4 and xbox one obviously, but those games are mostly available for pc anyway so you'll be able to play them at a better quality anyway), so yeah, if you're still not convinced then You need to seek therapy :)

Despite the pros you laid out, the cons are less processing power, load times, slower download times, and lazy 3rd party developers not wanting to port over some AAA games to switch.
To be honest I cant blame 3rd party developers the games they make cant run that great on the Nintendo unless they downscale the graphics and stuff ( 2025 hopefully will have the next Nintendo console so like yea )

One thing you forgot to mention which is the reason I bought one is because you can litterally take it anywhere and still play your games in “handheld mode” Xbox/Play Station/Pc are all gonna stay in 1 place connected to a tv/monitor

@@ags4353 remember the switch is basically mobile phone hardware from 2016 on a budget. Ps5 and xbox is 2020 tech and has a higher cost vs switch and way more power output. So comparing them isn't really relevant.

The games are not the cheapest every Nintendo exclusive will never go down price under $30. The oldest Mario game and any old Pokemon games are still $60.
Everything you can play on a steam deck is playable on pc. Steam deck is portable but battery life is really bad which makes the handheld experience very frustrating and pretty much pointless. Some games you can play only for a little over an hour. No game card slot but storage capacity is meager. If you have a pc, there's no reason to get a steam deck. It's best features aren't even relevant to gaming. It's more like a laptop that's trying to look like a handheld gaming console.
I mean I feel like when u consider the versatility of what ur getting with the switch the price is not too bad. Being able to play wherever u want, then having the ability to dock and play on a TV is super clutch.
As someone who has a ps5 and switch OLED. The switch gets outperformed in so many ways the only reason you would want a switch is for their exclusive games and if you want something to take on the go thats it.

MSRP is cheaper, but generally good luck finding good deals on Switch, most are still stuck at 60$ while most PS5/XSX games can be found below 50$

I always had the newest released systems and my cousins are now shocked at the fact I don’t own a PS5, that’s because I’m positive a slim version will be made and until then I am happy with my PS4 slim and my beautiful Nintendo Switch OLED
i think buying a steam deck for 50 dollars more and spending 65 dollars on a 512GB memory card (which is the price of a single switch game) to put your dirt cheap steam games on there, or any games for that matter since this thing is just a pc that doesnt work with some anticheats, you'll be able to emulate the switch itself and any other console out there ( except the ps3, ps4 and xbox one obviously, but those games are mostly available for pc anyway so you'll be able to play them at a better quality anyway), so yeah, if you're still not convinced then You need to seek therapy :)

@@DaxanDaxter The only time steam deck makes more sense if you travel alot, will be constantly near power sources, and don't care about nintendo exlusives, otherwise the switch is better in basically every way.
@@JeremyWray86 He literally explained in his comment that you can emulate nintendo exclusives on the steam deck? You can also very easily connect your steam deck to your tv, you just need a really cheap usbc hub that a lot of people already have.

Despite the pros you laid out, the cons are less processing power, load times, slower download times, and lazy 3rd party developers not wanting to port over some AAA games to switch.
To be honest I cant blame 3rd party developers the games they make cant run that great on the Nintendo unless they downscale the graphics and stuff ( 2025 hopefully will have the next Nintendo console so like yea )

Ps5 and xbox is 2020 tech and has a higher cost vs switch and way more power output. So comparing them isn't really relevant.
@@cozzy4447 it was from 2015 and don't give them a pass just because it's old hardware. They have had 6 years now to update the specs but they have continued to use this old Tegra chip that they had to literally beg NVIDIA to keep making. It's that old and useless.

Steam deck is better than a switch
Everything you can play on a steam deck is playable on pc. Steam deck is portable but battery life is really bad which makes the handheld experience very frustrating and pretty much pointless. Some games you can play only for a little over an hour. No game card slot but storage capacity is meager. If you have a pc, there's no reason to get a steam deck. It's best features aren't even relevant to gaming. It's more like a laptop that's trying to look like a handheld gaming console.

As someone who has a ps5 and switch OLED. The switch gets outperformed in so many ways the only reason you would want a switch is for their exclusive games and if you want something to take on the go thats it.
