Students from Zhonghua Martial Arts School were pitched against counterparts from Tagou to try and break the record for the most people to forward flip off a trampoline onto a platform in one minute on the set of Guinness World Records Special in Beijing, China in January 2016.

The fact that there is even a record for this thing is just amazing... how did one think of doing this... was it just like "today seems like a fine day to gather up people to front flip on a platform because why not"
I think someone was with his friends, the first friend stumbled, the second one helped him stand on the platform and this someone wanted to test how stably and safely can a group of friends land you
The first techniques were fun so everyone tried it
Then they upped the number for man forces and stability (so that the friend who is stabilizing your flip is stabilized by a friend to take off that momentum)
Gradually it became a joke of how much people do you actually need
Then a bet on how many can you fit

It's a Martial Arts School, so they probably are already doing similar games, this is just a extreme version
I think the yellow team definitely has more preparation, they made the box of people way quicker than the blue team, then start stacking up. Congrats to both tho. Impressive!
They’re also a lot smaller
The funny thing is that had the blue team's one member not stabilized himself on the trampoline they would've to won after the first attempt. I know he best himself up over that.
Ironically I am pretty sure they both made to 37 many times in training.

Yeah, its the pressure from the lights and crowd that make it tough. They should just contact Guinness World Records directly and have them show up to a practice and watch them and get the world record that way.

Whole lives? These are martial arts schools, they probably have been working on this for a couple months. They have actual matches to work for.
@@momofromatla2318 ah didn't know they were actual martial artists. Makes more sense but in a sense they still have been training for stuff like this their whole lives if you think about how much skill it takes which they were able to gain from their teachings.

Doesn't matter that much. The first, second, and third guys' roles make it so their order doesn't matter. The first guy just had to run back while the second and third guys jumped, then just jump in and they can stand in their normal positions again. It's actually better than the last guy failing, who would have to run back and waste time that no one can fill in for them.
The last guy must actually be their best athlete since his jump is probably the hardest

He's probably one of the best athletes, because he has the hardest jump. Also he had to make the choice of whether or not to risk their stable 36 count or make an attempt that could disqualify them like the blue team did.

For clarification:
Tagou(Yellow) went first and got 36 flips. Zhonghua(blue) went second and got 37, but the referee said the last person/people used the trampoline as a support to get up so their score ended up as 34. Zhonghua went again and tied Tagou's original record at 36, then Tagou went and got 35 in their second attempt. The record was tied at 36.
