- I may not fully trust Eris, but watching her get this closure definitely made me feel more sympathetic and understanding of her character.

Btw the way Toland died is he basically asked a Deathsinger to sing his death, and when said Deathsinger did so, it was so detailed and complete that it obliterated him. His pursuit of knowledge literally is what killed him.
Idk actual lore but what little I know of Toland he was probably like "oh hell yeah" lol

@kingnothingg94 learning the Deathsinger's song is basically the whole reason he went along with Eris's fireteam in the first place. He didn't give two shits about killing Crota, he was just fascinated with the Hive and their Sword Logic
Young Wolf is "you" aka "the guardian that killed XYZ bad guy", we earned this title from Saladin in Rise of Iron and we are being referred as such by the more veteran guardians all the time.
Regarding your question on whether a Ghost's light returns to the traveler or gets snuffed out.. We don't know yet indeed. What we do know is that the traveler can sure as hell recall a ghost and possibly even "change" them. One of the main raid bad guys, has a lore entry where he picks apart ghosts and the Traveler sort of "kills" the ghost and speaks through it to this bad guy, to tell him off. The ghost's soul/spirit/energy is no longer in that physical thing, basically.
There is another entry by Osiris where he encounters evil lightbearers and one of said lightbearers' ghost says to Osiris' ghost that he will go back to the traveler and ask to be changed.
It seems like there is a universal "purpose" built into all of them but this purpose is not yet known.

23:55 actually this is the point where Season of Undying begins, everything before is Shadowkeep content
like someone else pointed out already, everything before 23:55 is not season of the undying yet, but still shadowkeep DLC content (post campaign)
I recommend you to read the Unveiling lore from shadowkeep so you can get an idea of what's going on with the story 😎

Panoptes was the Curse of Osiris Vex Mind boss; he was called the "Infinite Mind" as opposed to the "Undying". For the sake of clarity, you can distinct them by their roles. Panoptes worked in the Infinite Forest on Mercury. He was as infinite as the simulations within the Forest and could be called unkillable too, but only within the confines of that unreal simulation space.
In simple terms, the Infinite Forest was a roadmap device, so Panoptes was more like a perfect strategist that would lead to a Vex-Only future for all of reality.
I don't know much about the Undying Mind but based on the video he was focused on control of the Black Garden specifically. In general, the Vex are time bots, with different vex from the future, past, and present being seen throughout D1 and D2, particularly the Vault of Glass, so I'm not sure just how uncommon it is for a Vex Mind to have super-time powers like replicating themselves into other timelines, especially when their common mode of transportation is time or space-warping right into your sector as a spawn animation.
I thought Panoptes was the “All-Seeing Mind”? My memory’s a little foggy on that.
@@MilanTehVillain Nah, since he's from the Infinite Forest. There is an "All-Seeing Force" Cabal boss and an "All-Seeing" Hive Taken, but Panoptes was better known (in gameplay) for his ability to exist in all of the Infinite Forest branches, as well as seeing into them.
You can help her with the ghosts, but you can only do one per week. The activities you do to help her also haven’t really been updated in years, making it a bit more tedious. You get some extra dialogue for actually doing so, though.
Toland sabotaged Eris’s raid time by throwing, ensuring that he would get the chance to die to the hive’s deathsong. His ghost was what you heard talking, proudly declaring Toland’s intentions.

Okay, so, I might be a tiny bit late to this, but, to explain the whole Vex and Black Garden relation.
There's a whole plot point about this...game between a power of light and dark, the gardener and the winnower. Who would compete on their ideals towards the superior ideology of reality.
The black garden, as far as I'm aware was ground zero for this game.
The Vex were sort of a result of this game, quite genuinely a pattern in reality that gained sentience and grew, with the sole intent to study, and assimilate. To make everything part of the Vex mind.
Fun Fact, the Vex are actually all basically research units. They only recently started to forge combat units through wyverns.
The Sol Divisive are a faction of Vex. An offshoot, that took to worshipping the darkness.
Why would the drifter think the light is a curse? We would have been wiped out countless times without it.
In the season of the drifter, we learn that back in the dark ages, Drifter saw guardians dying of hunger only to be resurrected by their ghosts still hungry... so they would die of hunger again. Sounds a bit like a curse, no?
@@terabellum That’s a good point. To be fair maybe the ghosts didn’t understand hunger and didn’t know why they were dying so they just kept resurrecting them not aware of what what killing them.
I love that you're playing my favorite game even if I have a love hate relationship with it these days. I'm sure you already have plenty of people, but if you ever need a hand with doing any of the Raid or Dungeon content, I'd be willing to lend one (if my schedule permits). Dungeons and Raids are my favorite content and I love bringing guardians through for the first time!
Part of me was expecting a dungeon video, but either way W video 👍
