    Honestly the red looks nice on them I've done mine with a really bright blue and used some of the nighthaunt/ spirithost paints from GW to make it almost have a glow to it contrasts are super convenient... the skin skirts are both made of their own flesh and their enemies just like all their belts have that fighters flayed face on them cause they're super grim

    Another great video! I really like to see the various brands you use. Never saw anyone use that Vallejo rust and will definitely look into it. I also really like your honesty with parts you like and parts you don't. It's more relatable than how so many other youtubers say how easy and perfect every stroke is all the time.
    And as far as the snarky comment to you, do what you are comfortable and enjoy doing and make the videos how you want them. It's unfortunate how one voice can really be so loud and negative.

    I had thought for certain the face comment being mentioned at the start of the Unmade video was a lead in to a face ending up on a belt buckle!
    Top notch work as usual. For the Vallejo Black Ink liner step, try Vallejo Dark Grey Wash. It has enough translucency outside of the recesses you're trying to black line to fade really nicely, achieving a somewhat less muted but still apparent black line that you don't have to worry much about whether it is too thick.

    You are slowly convincing me to use some contrasts for very specific situations. I had all but written them off as i find the results typically look blotchy and have that "it's been painted with contrast" look.

  • @RyanEdwardsVA
    @RyanEdwardsVA Před 4 lety

    What an awesome outcome on these models! Only thing I can think to say constructively as a total outsider to the hobby is that a touch of a cool color here or there on the fabric could really make these stand out even more due to the contrast, but I have no idea how or where, and like I said I'm no visual artist so maybe it's a terrible idea anyhow. Haha. Anyhow, love the work, first video I've seen of yours but I'm absolutely subscribing!

    Pretty new to mini painting, love the rust look you did on these! haven’t used the Vallejo rust washes, is it possible to get a heavier rust look by applying more coats of the wash or would you recommend something else to get a more rusted feel?

    • @TheMiniJunkie

      Matthew Bain that can work. Another option is Games Workshop Ryza Rust which is brighter and more textured.
