    I just bolted this on as well. For $30 (US) seems like a good investment!!

    Without the slider, the foot peg would protect the axle as well.

      Perhaps. I just opted for some additional insurance in the event I repeated a similar crash of my 2009 and damaged the axle on this machine.

    Hi, noticed you have R&G the spindle protector too, did you take off the original cap to fit?? Looks like it leaves the seal and white stuff exposed to ingress by doing so?? I left mine in but it melted, can you let me know what you’ve done, cheers

      Thanks for the question and my sincere apologies for the belated reply. Yes, I took off the original cap/seal when I installed the spindle protector.
