- Staying hydrated is one of the key steps to having fun and being safe when we ride for an afternoon or on a cross country adventure. Jody and I have learned the hard way to find multiple ways to bring water and other drinks along on our journeys. Follow along as we install Touratech's solution to carrying several bottles on the OEM aluminum cases.
Absolutely all the parts and tools used in our installation videos are purchased by Jody and Jeff, and are not paid for, sponsored by or provided by any manufacturer or distributor or dealer.

I added a simple bicycle water bottle cage to my crash bars on my r1250gs.
And probably less money too; more left over for riding.
Loved the installation. Will definitely look into adding this on my GSA. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching. Cheers.
It'll be a cold day in Thermal, CA before I punch holes in my $2,000 hard bags, ESPECIALLY for that measly amount of water! I admit the mount itself is pretty okay, but the method of securing the bottles (those dippy straps) is down right CRIMINAL! As for the bottles, they'd be about the right size for carrying extra FUEL (although I'd always worry about being rear-ended). Speaking of carrying liquids, seems Roto-Pack might have been better option (assuming one has come to terms with drilling holes in their cases). All in all, yet another example of Canadians being far too accommodating/polite. Your neighbors to the south would have a few choice words for those TourTech boys!
Great install video!
Thanks for watching and for your comment.
If you look at tourtech brief video on it he is Turing it to the right ! You are correctly turning it to the left which makes sense since the hole size on the bracket decreases in diameter.. something is not right here, this should be the easiest part of this installation only taking 2 seconds and few other GSA owners are puzzled Just as I am.. we can’t line up or lock the bracket on the adaptor. The only difference is your have 3 holders on each side and I have the two ( smaller size).. any advice would be appreciate it
Imagine trying to grab a bottle while driving
Not good. Lol. Also, hot. In the current hot weather, the water is almost ready for a coffee. Nice source of extra water at the campsite.
Having an awful time putting the bracket on the adaptor or holes not lining up and won’t turn to the right to lock.
Good install…would the 2 liter gas canisters fit on the back of the Motorrad side bags like those water bottles?
Hi. It's my understanding that for BMW oem bags, the adapter is also required for the fuel canister bracket.
Are those bottles Thermo insulated by any chance?
Hi. Thanks for the question. Short answer, no. The two bottles from Touratech are not insulated. From their website they say:
Lightweight aluminum drinking bottle with extra large screw cap.
made of 99.7% aluminum
extremely lightweight
tasteless and odorless
BPA, phthalate and lead-free
suitable for carbonated beverages
suitable for recycling.
